3 million seems to be the go to price in Scotland now a days and I think you will see it more and more.

Kev83 I would agree with you. I also think 3 millions isn’t a lot especially if Lennon rates him. I haven’t really seen a great deal of him but he’s always seemed to be solid and is only 21. He’s probably done more than turnbell to be fair as tunrbell has only had one season. Let’s see tho, I think it’s a positive signing, I like to see young Scottish boys in the team.

Yes Kev, of course such a deal would depend on Hendry taking a wage cut. He's a young lad, if he wants to move his career on then maybe that's what he'll have to do because if he sits and takes the cash for the duration of his contract without playing he'll quickly become a forgotten man with no career to look forward to. HH.

I think Meling would be most fan's choice but our club have shown in the past that they aren't particularly influenced by the fans preferences. There's lots of speculation about the lad but no-one from either side has officially come out and said that we are in discussions with him, his agent or Rosenborg so the speculation is going to continue until something definitive is said. HH.

£3m is probably a season-changing amount of money for Kilmarnock but for us it's not even 10% of the season book money.
I'd pay it - agree that it does seem steep considering what else is happening in the Scottish market but if we wake up on 3rd September and Celtic have only Boli to play left back for the sake of a few hundred grand I will not be happy. Cash + player (s) would be best deal for Celtic like Bob and others said.

I couldn’t see it being much more for a player that’s in his last year of his contract. I know we got more for Armstrong but that is premier money, he also had a good goal scoring record from a midfielder . Southampton had been successful buying off us so probably thought it was a gamble worth taking. They even gave a few for our song . 😂.

He’s got a year left on his contract so I believe we will get him for the £1m mark plus Hendry loan they can’t turn down that kind of money when we can get him on a pre contract in January 4 months time the £3m papers are coming up with is a load of rubbish.
