How far back do we have to go back where we find a gd cb pairing? This really is a concern, scales has aerial threat but not strong enough, fast enough or comfortable on ball, trusty athletic enough, wouldn't say strong enough either or comfortable on ball, ccv strong enough, comfortable on ball but how many times lucky today does he play blind passes, as few have posted the money we have spent is ridiculous, a would let nawrocki playbrest c if he's going to cut it else that's more money needing to throw at our defence unless Tierney plays cb, hope Taylor signs and we sign schlupp what's everyone's opinion? But a their 37 year old cb and John souttar seem more reliable than ours and that really is a worry for me in my opinion.

Whatever has been decided Rocky and lagerb aren't going to get a shot. I like scales but today he struggled at times. Its an upgrade on ccv that's needed. Trusty isn't it.

It's definitely a problem and given both Nawrocki and Lagerbielke were brought in and have not had a sniff, it's poor.
Scales has done well IMO but, he's a squad player - not a starter. CCV could well leave in the summer if the right money is offered and I wouldn't be starting KT at CB.
Unfortunately, if you put them all together they're nowhere near the pairing of VVD and Denayer. ?
Big summer window on the horizon.

Scales dives in too much for me. Modern CB's seem to be all over the attacker andcwant to get tight when balls are played into them, trying to wrap their leg around the forward to win the ball but always ends up a foul. What happened to standing your man up? As Maldini said " if you need to make a tackle you've already made a mistake. We need a pair of 6'5" no nonsense CB's who just get the ball to feck and offer a threat at set pieces!

KT would be wasted at CB. Its a no for me. We need 2 at CB especially 1 that's comfortable stepping into midfield with ball.

If Nawrocki and Lagerbeilke were good enough they would play regularly. BR needs clean sheets in defence and team victories even more than the most ardent supporter . He will always pick the players best suited to get a result in the next game and subsequent games .
Believe it or not despite what u may read in articles by SMSM, and Celtic websites BR isn’t a complete idiot . He plays the players who will do best job for him, he watches players training as well as in matches . He may discuss matters with coaches he respects, it is likely that at the end of the day he has more accurate information than most who criticise him.
