Over the last 10 Glasgow Derby's we have won only 3 in 90 mins whilst there have been 3 draws and Sevco have won 4. We of course won in Pens and in extra time in the 2 cup wins. In the last 4 fixtures, they have come out top in 3, scoring 12 to our 5, with our victory on pens. It's clear the superiority we held in head to heads is no longer prevalent and needs to be addressed as they surely won't be as bad against the others next year.

Celtic only lost 2 games in the whole of 2024 and none to Sevco.
Yes Sevco have won both games against Celtic in 2025 but we were undefeated in several previous meetings, since losing another meaningless match at Ibrox in May 2023.
Our last 3 defeats to Sevco have reduced our lead at the Top to still double figures and they have basically only won bragging rights on each occasion.

Why all the anger about losing to a club who have no right to exist .
They were liquidated and died in 2012 . We have enough on our plate competing against genuine clubs who play by the rules in domestic and European football.

I can understand the theory that IF they were consistent against the rest of the SPL it could be a different story, but they have been unable to match our consistency under several managers.
I can also admit our recent record against them is cause for concern, and even though we have a substantial points lead we need to hammer home the advantage and not give any encouragement. The sight of that wee runt and his 'apprentice boys' celebrating on our own pitch should be motivation enough. However, I do think we need to upgrade and re-enforce a few positions for next season.

Referring to your earlier post, pray tell why is the Celtic board not responsible for our bench yesterday? If they aren’t who is? Rodgers told them what he wanted in January they didn’t replace Kyogo who was leaving from last summer. Barry was able to replace like for like in terms of quality to a greater extent than Brendan could on Saturday.
We could only use 2 subs and had more B-team players on the bench that I can remember. The board failed the manager in the January transfer window the same way they failed him in the summer transfer window when he arrived. Twenty two signings. Where are they now?

Long before January Brendan Rodgers said in front of the Board he had the final say in transfers . By not disagreeing with him, it is reasonable to believe that Brendan sanctioned every transfer in. That means neither Board, biggest shareholder, or CEO can buy any player for Celtic .
I M O bench would be stronger if BR hadn’t sanctioned so many promising youngsters to go out on loan.

JFP 1888 . It might be easier to replace players with substance enhanced drugs with other players who are similarly drugged enhanced, remember Barry’s predecessor the failed Dave told us that the Doctor who h. ns employed last summer would be the most important signing club would make.
