I have read many differing opinions of why we should and shouldn't be content with how the team are fairing compared to seasons past. However, it's very clear to see from his reaction to the window, that Celtic are still short of what the manager wanted for the run=in.
I'm not saying we are not in a great position, but the whole point of efficient transfer strategy is to buy low - sell big and come out at the end of the window stronger than when you went in. We got part of it wrong and that's why BR and many of the support are peed-off.

As a club, our squad should be at a level where recruitment should be about improvement and fine tuning in key areas. And obviously replacement of players who move on which is inevitable. If we always have the ‘sort it next window’ approach, we just make the job bigger and harder, and inevitably more disappointing when it doesn’t happen. Kicking the can down the road also means the wholesale changes never happen because of the prohibitive costs involved. We don’t need massive recruitment, but we do need timely recruitment and that just never seems to happen.

I am as disappointed as the next player that we didn’t bring in a quality striker . We, supporters haven’t an idea why . I think unlike other windows that our recruitment team and Board tried their best but came up short . I think that because we have cash, in bank and we have actually made quality signings in recent windows for many positions that we actively tried but failed. Maybe it’s more of a case of inability by Board to actually get players over line . We were so delighted getting PL banished from the actual transfer business, that maybe his replacement the quiet. Mr N is the weak link . Or maybe Brendan Rodgers who is one of the best coaches of players in game, maybe a bit of a ditherer and is slow to make up his mind . Whatever reason it is hope lesson is learned and we move on to better windows in future . The need to buy quality players hasn’t gone away you know.
