Lots of stats kicking about on how many games KT has played/ missed. The assumption is that if he hasn't played he was injured but that isn't the case. He has been an unused sub and/ or not in squad many times. Last night was prime example and he has been "available" much more than would appear from stats alone. We don't have one player in our squad never mind team with his dig, something we badly missed last Thursday.

The bhoy is made of chocolate. As soon as he looks at grass he's oot fur 6 weeks. If he wasn't a Celtic player before and a fan not 1 fan would be wanting this to happen. At least he will keep the medical team busy.

I find some of the opinions on Tierney coming back really strange. He’s had a few injuries granted but not half as bad as some make out. He could get double him money or more elsewhere and would be worth at least £20m if he was not out of contract. If he’s willing to take much lower wages to return to the club he loves then I believe he will be a huge success, even if he misses some periods with injury. Boy could we have been doing with more like him on Thursday during that pathetic performance. He’s also home grown and helps with that as I don’t see many SPL players worth signing and clearly Rodgers does not think there is anyone in the youth that can step up.

{Ed007's Note - So where's the clubs that would double his money, where's all these clubs clamouring to sign this £20 million player on a free?
When he left it was because he wanted to challenge himself at a higher level, what's changed there - after all he's only 27.
The truth of the matter is that he isn't capable of staying fit to play at that top level - if he was he wouldn't be coming back to Celtic on a free, even Arsenal aren't taking up their years option to get any fee at all for him - and clubs see signing him as a massive gamble.
I have repeatedly asked this and still not had any satisfactory answer, if this wasn't KT and he hadn't played for us previously why would any Celtic fan think this is a good idea? If it was some foreigner from Arsenal with the same injury problems/history would you all be celebrating it as a transfer master stroke?}

mark with him playing for us and doing what he did is why people want him back because they know how good he is. the difference with a foreigner from arsenal arriving with a bad rep for injuries is he had never played for celtic and we would not know how good he was or can be as he had not played for us and we had not seen him in the flesh at parkhead. ccv is injured a lot should we get shot of him.

kt is a free its a no brainer its a gamble just like hart and Schmeichel were gambles on frees lads a huge talent and will be brilliant for us all the arsenal fans loved him so he couldny have been that bad down there. to my understanding i think areta just didn't fancy him he did not fit into his style.

{Ed007's Note - I think a lot of Celtic fans are going to be sadly disappointed if the they think KT is the same player he was when he was first here.
And I'd happily take an upgrade on CCV at CB too as he is nowhere near good enough at CL level - when he is fit enough to play in them that is.}

i understand were yer comeing fae mate. its just that were getting him on a free that makes it a no brainer for me mate hese a class player and if it turns out hese always fuked i don't think he would be hard to deal with im terms a parting ways.

{Ed007's Note - Is this KT or James McCarthy we're talking about?}

I don’t think there can be anything as disruptive to defence as a player who the manager and players don’t know whether he can play the next game or will he be injured. We have CCV who some could say is in that category and I doubt if we should have another .
He walked out on us once, hopefully if he did manage a run of games he doesn’t gate crash a Board meeting again to get away.

{Ed007's Note - KT left because he wanted a new challenge and to test himself at the highest level - which I had no problem with - but I guess the challenge beat him and he's definitely failed the test.}

The big question with this move I have is who will be back up for the back up?

If we are to get him for a reduced or even no fee, then I say go for it. We have about six players on the books who will never be good enough. Get rid of them and take a chance on someone who could be. Of course it’s about him being one of us and brilliant. There’s nothing wrong with that. We have spent tens of millions on absolute duds over the years. KT at least has ability. It’s almost as if when he comes done will want him to fail. I totally get the injuries concern, but I also have a hope he can stay fit and improve us.

On Rogers, he said singing about KT is disrespectful to Gregg. If that’s the case, what does signing KT mean Rogers? You’re bringing him in to replace Gregg, so I fail to see your logic. My opinion is after that shocking bottle crashing performance, the fans are a bit uptight and our continued lack of top form, been below our level since the Brugge game. We can all see that, even though we don’t know what we are watching, so thanks for pointing that out. Needless and damaging comments imo. But, heh ho. Let’s just shut up and accept. Fatter all, we only pay for everything. Including hys wages.
