Celtic have now lost 2 league matches to the latest Ibrox club from 13 attempts in the last 40 months.
Celtic went into our first defeat 13 points ahead in May 2023 and then again 14 points ahead going to Ibrox on Thursday.
We can't expect Celtic not to lose sometimes against our City rivals and it certainly softens the blow when we lose those dead rubber games.
They can over celebrate the odd league victory whilst we will continue to celebrate winning more major trophies.

Losing to that mob buzz is bad enough, but to lose in the manner in which we did is what sticks in the throat. no one can complain about the situation the teams got themselves in atbthis stage, 20 odd goals better off, 11 points clear, league cup in the bag, anyone would've bit the hand off rodgers if he'd said that's where we'd be sitting come january, but I go back to it, no team has a god given right to win any game of football, and when you turn up and put in a half ar#ed performance as we did on Thursday you get what you deserve. let's just hope it's a wake up call to the squad. while we've gotten results, I don't think our recent performances have been eye catching, is that to do with how easy we've been having it in terms of being under no real pressure? Possibly, but what Thursday has shown us is if we don't go about our business professionally we can and will drop points producing that type of performance. thankfully up until that cup final and Thursday the performances haven't been as bad as those 2 were.

Celtic went into the match on Thursday having 7 clean sheets from our last 8 games.
We have now conceded 3 goals twice to Sevco in our last 9 games played in all competitions and 7 CS.
An addition to my post -
Celtic have also won 4 from 5 games at Hampden against Sevco in that last 40 months timeline.
Concluding that Sevco have only beaten Celtic 3 times in our last 18 meetings.

It was the manner we lost that game,24 shots against us and us having couple, not nearly good enough, struggling to think of a worse performance by either club in this fixture.

I am still bemused and angry at the way we lost and as I have praised the manager much of this season, he has to take responsibility for the poor preparation, lack of motivation and poor team decisions.

Apart from the September derby, recent derby games have been close. You could argue we got out of jail, not just the league cup final but the May final as well. We're the best in Scotland but that doesn't make us that good. Tbh, this result had been coming but the manner of the defeat rankles. Good response needed tomorrow and yes, Hatate needs replaced, not just on the strength of Thursday, but based on performances over the long period.
