Ed what's your thoughts on the KT situation? Would you want him back, and is it looking as likely as the rumours suggest?

{Ed007's Note - I don't want KT anywhere near the Celtic squad, it's a signing driven purely by sentimentality and stinks like another jobs for the boys scenario - we're basically signing a soon to 28-year old injury ravaged, washed up & burnt out Pub League player, who if he hadn't previously played for us there isn't a Celtic supporter that would be happy with this. When KT left Celtic it was thought that even though Arsenal are a big club they were only a stepping stone to KT's rise to the very top of the game, his injuries & physical condition put paid to that years ago, why are there no big clubs clamouring to sign him on a free?
We got rid of Mark Lawwell for his incompetence and the best option our scouts, Head of Football Operations and manager can come up with at LB is KT? That's scandalous and goes against everything we supposedly do in our scouting & player trading model.
I don't know how likely it is he will sign for Celtic but talks are ongoing plus there is some interest in England & Spain so I'm just praying that the money on offer in either they places turns his head.}

Agree 100% Ed.
KT had great potential and did a job for us.
But, we have to let the head and not the heart rule.
The boy is injury prone and not getting any younger.

I'm sure his advisor will be looking for the best deal (financially) due to his circumstances and I hope it is not at Parkhead.

Totally against it but if do sign him just play him in the sevco games for the dig we were missing yesterday ?.

Thanks Ed. Always interested in your take. I agree with you that we should have left backs targeted but it could work out - maybe even as a centre back. If he can stay fit, that is.

{Ed007's Note - And there's the question, should Celtic be signing players on the basis of "if he can stay fit", where's the system that found us players like AJ, MOR or Kuhn?
A 6ft CCV & 5ft 10 KT as our CB pairing gives me the fear!}

ED007 look on the positive side he will bring his pal Paddy Roberts with him lol
Then Brendan can have fun playing him and Kuhn and watching the poor defenders trying to identify which is which ha ha.

{Ed007's Note - He even has a bit of Henrik about him from a certain angle...

Who is the best player to play for Celtic in two different spells?

Which spell was better the first time or the second time?

I’m a bit younger than some of the posters on here so interested to know from the goats ha.

Leebhoy I was actually talking to my dad about exactly this. Has a player ever come back and been better?

And Ed, no that's not the basis we should ever sign a player. However if he's on a free, and wages aren't crazy maybe it will turn out well. But you're right, our model works and should continue.

It doesn’t usually work but Charlie Mulgrew springs to mind.

Bertie Auld was the first player I remember coming back and actually improving second time around and Bobby Lennox's second stint was good, but brief. Unfortunately, I think Frank MacAvennie, Charlie Nicholas, Andy Walker and Shaun Maloney were better first time around IMO. Just remembered Frazer Forster had two decent spells as well.

Forgot about Forster he wins it for cup final performance ha.

No harm to KT, he may give us a lift signing for us, but what if he gets injury and is out for while . Major downer . He will be injured as he will be targeted every game . A NO FOR ME.
