History would suggest the outcome tomorrow will be tight.
Celtic have played against the Ibrox clubs in 16 league cup finals ( W7 - L9 ) and 14 have been decided by One goal.
The only exceptions was the 1st final in 1957 when Celtic won 7-1.
The other was when McGeady made it 2-0 in the 120th minute in Extra Time.
Basically none of the 3 clubs have won by more than one goal, in the last 15 league cup finals after 90 minutes.

Good stats Buzzarino. I am thinking that a one goal margin wins this also. First team to score usually wins and I hope it’s Celtic ?.

It’s been the same with the Scottish Cup Finals BR.
Both won by more than a goal in the 1890s and Rangers again in 1928 final.
All 11 finals since 1928 have been decided by the odd goal, with the exception of a Rangers replay win in 1963 and Celtic winning 4-0 in 1969.
Basically since 1928,
Rangers have not won a domestic cup final against Celtic by more than one goal in the last 27 attempts with the exception of the 1963 replay victory.

After taking all the above into consideration I will go for 4-1 or 5.??.

I'm in agreement, I think it will be a tight match, especially with beaton as the ref.

It won't be tight, no matter who the ref is.
Who many meaningful games have they won against us recently?
How many games has BR lost at Hampden.
How many Cup finals has Calmac lost?
I see them doing what they did in the last game, they will go all out to score early.
As long as we don't do anything stupid and lose an early goal and the first time we break there press we will control the game and they will run out of steam after 25mins.
I'm expecting a 4-0 or 4-1.
