Kvistgarden is having some season! Do you think we should've splashed the cash on him instead of Idah?

I still think Idah has a big place in the Celtic team but imagine we are looking to bolster our attack as Kyogo will be offski next summer.

I like Kyogo but how many chances does he miss? He would have 20+ this season if he finished half the chances he's had. And no a screamer against the Sevconian doesn't cover his misses.

{Ed007's Note - 36 goals over 106 games in the Danish league, no thanks. I didn't want Celtic to Mathias Kvistgaarden in the summer and I don't want Celtic to sign him in January either. I do agree with you that I expect Kyogo to leave next summer though ??

Maybe Celtic could try and sign Miovski.

What screamer against rangers? It was a howler from their goalie.

I can't see Idah "coming good" as he's nowhere near Celtic class. Definitely overpaid for him, there was a reason he was in the Norwich reserve team! Kyogo is missing a few chances right enough, (low confidence? ) however, he gets loads of chances because of his movement and often creates goals out of nothing. I hope he stays for at least another 2 seasons.

For cover, we need abetter option than Idah though.

{Ed007's Note - Overall Idah has scored a goal every 111 mins that he has played this season - including 29 mins for Norwich - Kyogo has scored a goal every 170 mins he has played, I expect that trend to continue throughout the season of Idah being our more prolific striker.
For a main striker we need better than Kyogo, Idah and Kvistgarden, Kyogo has proven that he isn't near good enough to play at a higher European level and isn't clinical enough at the domestic level - and if you're putting him missing sitters down to low confidence then he's been struggling for confidence since he came in because after only a few games Stevie Wonder could see he wasn't a natural striker with that instinct good/great strikers have.
The likes of Dembele, Leigh Griffiths and Gary Hooper would have been into double figures already if they had the game time Kyogo has had this season and they would have outscored him playing in Ange's team as well.}

Butland was at fault this season but Kyogo has previously scored a couple of screamers with both feet against Sevco.
He does however miss sitters when he has plenty of time to think.
Kyogo is better with his instinctive chances.

Idah (IMO) played a big part in us winning the league last season.

Idah definitely made an impact during his loan spell and contributed
much to our Double winning run-in. I feel he has struggled this season after a stop-start pre-season due to the transfer business and limited game time thereafter. His confidence will have suffered because of this, not to mention the transfer hanging over him - as could be the case with Engels. However, both are still learning and we are still to see the best of them in a Celtic jersey.
On the other hand Kyogo has definitely lost momentum and potency, maybe because defenders are wise to him or loss of confidence?
Maeda has been touted as another striker and his hat-trick in the semi-final was a rare glimpse of this; but I feel his strengths are in other areas and if we are not considering Cummings or Kenny, then we may need another top notch striker next season.

I’d be careful about writing Idah off this early gents … needs a run of games that’s all IMO.

Not writing Idah off as I think he’s a better striker than Kyogo and usually comes on to see games out with his defensive capabilities.
