High scoring matches are no longer unusual at the top level of the European game. The pendulum of elite competition, when it swings, can be devastating.
Even Barcelona and Tottenham, teams with vastly greater resources than ours, have been on the end of 'humiliating' results.
The ship has not sunk. We are still a well run club, with a good squad, who are currently dominating our domestic league.
Hopefully the silver lining of this result will be the coaching team rethinking how they setup and prepare for European away ties.
I think the few cries of "Rodgers must go" after Tuesday's result are reactionary and senseless. Since March, the form of the team, molded in Rodgers' image, has been excellent. We are not likely to get a better coach than Rodgers. What other top 5 league coach would drop down to the SPL? I also think he has shown over the course of the past season that he is tactically more flexible than Ange. I just hope that he becomes more pragmatic when faced with teams that are man-for-man better than us across the pitch.
