Bernardo is turning into a must play and if anything hatate had better step up as right now his form doesn't get him in front of Bernardo.

I agree mally. Although I do rate hatate highly and think he is our most creative midfielder, I think Bernardo is better suited to our system.

I think Hatate is letting the Japan national team situation affect him because on his day, he is way ahead of all our midfield players, maybe with the exception of Arne.
He can play the pass that most don't see but looked a bit flat yesterday.
I said yesterday that Bernardo was MOTM. He worked hs *** off, covering for those around him.
CM didn't have a good game yesterday.
It was our bench players that played from the start and very few of them gave a good account of themselves.
To be fair we normally substitute one or two, one in each line, midfield or up front, and they fit nicely with those players already playing and up to speed.
We played 8 bench players from the start who were not match fit and they struggled to play the formation, due to lack of game time.
It is harsh to judge them on that performance as individually they may fit in and play better in the full team.
My fear is that Palma looks miles away from where I thought he should be. He has no confidence to take on a defender and went backwards every time he got the ball.
Yang on the other hand was aggressive and went for the defender every time he got the ball.

I think we are ticking along nicely. If we keep progressing at the rate we are, that’ll do me, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The players that started were not up to speed, that’s patently obvious but they need game time to get there. Boss admitted that 8 changes was probably too many. Quietly confident on Europe, but it’s one game at a time. Let’s just enjoy the moment and enjoy the progression and long may it continue.

MiP. I'm taking calmac all day long over Reo. Arne will be another level to hatate in a few weeks. I don't think it'll be long before bernardo takes hatates place.

Horses for courses guys… plenty midfield talent, it’s a long season, sometimes he will start Bernardo, sometimes Hatate, sometimes McCowan … modern game is a squad game at our level ??.
