Willie Collum saying suggesting some changes to refereeing.
1. Some audio will be released monthly, a review of decisions will take place and controversial decisions will be discussed publicly.
2. Referees must declare a conflict of interests, such as they work for a company who sponsor a team. However, it was not clear from what I read if they have to declare what team they support and if the conflict would prevent them from refereeing particular matches.
He also said we should have had a penalty against Killie when keeper took kyogo out.
While I agree with the sentiment of what he is suggesting. For it to be effective and achieve transparency the following is important.
1. The audio should be made immediately to teams after the game or even better, let them hear it live. This will make it hard to tamper with.
2. Referees need to declare what team they support and not be allowed to referee games involving their team or in a game that would benefit their team due to "group bias" phenomena.
3. Referee and VAR officials who get it wrong need to attend retraining to improve their understanding of the rules and their decision making.
Due to referee bias and the historical favouring of one club in the past. People will not change what they think without total transparency in the game.
P. s. sort VAR so we can get perpendicular lines for offsides as the one in the Glasgow derby was not drawn correctly and there was no way you could say with confidence that kyogo was offside.

Two steps in the right direction for me, joe.
Whether the audio was live at the time or released monthly, it wouldn't alter the on-field decision either way. At least being able to understand the thought process (or lack of it) will provide more clarity.
As for who refs support - Ideally they would dwclare who they support. But a question I've raised before is if the majority support Celtic or Rangers, which I would expect, what standard does that leave to referee games involving said sides?

I personally don't think someone's career in any employment should be hindered because of a team, company or a person they support.
So basically any referee who supports Celtic or Sevco can't referee any of these 2 teams weather they support them or not for fear of bias.
How does that make our refereeing any better when they aren't exposed to the pressure of the big games, the big crowds, the big calls.
The only way to root out bias is to give these referees these games and scrutinise the performances over a period.
If the same mistakes (bias) keep happening then they have to be taken in spoken to and at that point told they don't get Celtic or Sevco games when they play anyone.
Like has been mentioned we need transparency. Not out in the public domain but for the employers.
I'll go back to my 1st point.
No persons career should be curtailed from progression due to their affiliation.

Willie Collum is very brave going public with this information.
It’s what the fans have been wanting for years - even before VAR.
It’s good he is willing to go through each contentious decision and give his honest opinion on each incident.
Willie Collum is a breathe of fresh air and he is trying his best to do a great job.

No mention of the offside goal funnily enough.

Mally,
I read he mentioned that Dallas had manually drawn the lines.
That kind of confirms it was onside for me.

I think the blame will go to the ruler then ?.

For me it has to be foreign referees on field or VAR! I know it will never happen but it gets away from the Celtic and sevco affiliations etc.
But, I am sure the next complaint would be about what religion they are (especially from one particular team's support! )

Psychologists have proven that people who belong to a group act favourably to other members of that group. This can happen consciously and sub consciously. This is the reason a ref should not officiate a game that could benefit or hinder their team.
I agree that a large number of people in Scotland support Celtic or sevco. However, have you ever wondered why no one from the Highlands, borders or Edinburgh are able to referee? According to the SFA only people from the west of Scotland make good refs. Rather odd is it not?

Agree Joe! But the next argument would be an Aberdeen supporter refereeing a sevco game!
This really needs to be highlighted from other clubs as then maybe UEFA might start looking in to it. But at the moment proof is in the pudding that sevco have a say in who referees there games (collum being complained about and not given a game of theirs for months)

I heard the offside on koyogo will be addressed in next months VAR review as the game fell into September.
