Aa much as id like to see Engles sign . and how I think he looked the part in his you tube highlights I've never seen him in a full game (and I guess 99.9% of our support) so don't really know how good he is . but a player I've seen full games of and TV highlights every week of is the boy mgowan who certainly looks the part in his Dundee team and who I think would do well with us . id like to see us buy him and Engles if possible.

Dundee seeing we got £25m+ for O'Riley and bidding £10m+ for Engles, I can see them holding out for £5m+ for McCowan.

There were early rumours of us looking at McCowan (and Lennon of Motherwell) , but I don't think we have followed up on either?
I agree with Stengo as well, because the longer things drag--out, any club we contact will be adding £m's onto any previous valuation. That's what we get for waiting until the last minute.

It doesn't work like that, early deals won't be cheaper. Clubs have their valuation and will hold out for it whether it's early on or later in the window.
McGowan is a 1 miliion player at the start of the window and will be at the end.

A watched McCowan against us and for 15 mins looked fine then nower to b seen, i always judge Spl players on how they play against us the top Team. Lennon the St Mirren boy (sorry) and Miovski only 3 a thot wer decent. don't like Shankland end of ??♂️.

DRB, we were never getting Idah below what we paid. There was mention in the media of 6 million but Norwich said they valued him around 13.
So early/ late it was never going to be cheaper for us.

McGowan won't improve the squad and will only take the place of a younger player on the bench.
I would prefer to see Holm, young Turley or another academy player get there chance.
