Credit to the board post alert. Say what you want about the incoming players but they have shifted a serious number out the door. It could be said they also signed them but here's hoping it creates space in the squad for quality. Who is left to move on?

Naw but it was Ange setting up the quick signings that was his style continued into last summer! Ange was a master at spitting players but most of his pre scouted players last summer were dug meat! I think we are actually this summer trying to get the quality in but we are going to get ripped off a bit due to our healthy bsnk balance and most teams know that.

How is it credit the guys moved on shouldn't have been here in the first place.

Credit getting rid of anges duds.

{Ed007's Note - And by feck he signed a lot of them when you look back, him and Baby Lawwell are as guilty as each other for a lot of serious blunders in the transfer market.

Ange also single handedly built a title winning team in his first 2 transfer windows, when we didn’t have a head of recruitment for one year.

It was the best transfer windows we’ve had and there was no so called experts, like Baby Lawwell in the building.

He also brought us starfelt, hart, juranovic, Jota, Johnston, CCV, hatate, mooy, maeda, Kyogo, o'riley, iwata, scales, Lawal, abada, giakomakis, jenz, haksabanovic and Oh.

The bad ones being Kobayashi, Shaw, uroghide, McCarthy, Bernabei, ideguchi, Dawson, Kenny, siegreist, Clarke, abildgard and osagie.

People may disagree with 1-2 of my placements but all the good signings either delivered or got us a decent transfer fee or both. Quite a few of the bad ones were low risk development players. So I would say it was more good than bad and many of the bad ones came in under baby Lawwell.

I agree Joe but they worked with the same board BR is working with now but back then they didn't get pelters for taking in 9 players, over half of which were not good enough

Now they are trying to bring in higher quality, which cost a lot more, which makes negotiations harder and they are getting pelters and get accused of being tight fisted for not giving every selling club what they are asking.

I hope by the time a new window comes round we have a head of recruitment and top scouting network that can work alongside BR and the board and we can move forward without last minute scrambling, a poor run of form in the new CL format, or not qualifying through whatever route for next years competition will hinder us, January for me is a market we must invest again in for future players wehther they are signing pre contracts to come end of season or even a further annual loan for when they are ready, top clubs do this continuously, Ange and his signings helped us get where we needed to be, withouth the ones as weejoe mentioned we would've been a laughing stock that's how bad we were getting!
