Under Gordon Strachan in the 2006/ 07 season, Celtic won the league by 12 points and we also listed the Scottish Cup by defeating relegation Dunfermline with a late winner.
But strangely after February 3rd,
Celtic played 17 games and we never won any match by more than a single goal.
Celtic only won 9 games by one goal,
2 draws and 6 defeats.
Celtic showed we were a decent team, when we narrowly lost AET to eventual CL winners AC. Milan during that period.
We actually won 4-1 in a cup tie on February 3rd and it was January 20th, when Celtic last won by more than a single goal in the League.
I can now understand why the Celtic fans wanted a change of Manager although Gordon was successful.
Celtic fans want more than to win ugly on a regular basis.
We want to be entertained "The Celtic Way".

I was at the away tie buzz in Milan.
With the game going into extra time all public transport had finished for the night. Thousands trying to flag down anybody for lifts was funny to be involved in. We managed to get a local who worked for Pirelli who was at the game to take us to our hotel. Before the game their was talk of trouble from their ultras but we came took over and all got on great!

I preferred stabbing barbed needles in my eyes than watching Strachan's team. McManus, Caldwell and Naylor. ?.

Strachan done a great job he inherited an ageing squad and very little money. done brilliant, and got us some good results in europe with a poorer team.

Tbh, GS I think is right up there with MON. Blows out the water that you need to be a Celtic man, be it as a player or manager.

I remember Strachan having 2 main goals in his first season as the Celtic Manager.
One was to win the title back obviously.
Two was to bring the average age of the squad down.

Was in Milan too. Brilliant time apart from result! Long walk to hotel after.

The Perrier Doumbe cup final. Barely kicked a ball for us but managed to win us that trophy at least.
