Shows the difference in attitudes to our league. Oliver skipp leaves spurs for 25m no haggling yet they expect us to give mor away fir buttons.

If I had £25m I know who I'd rather be buying.

I was worried that sale would open spurs to come in for MOR, however Brighton I would say are odds on, let's hope if he does go ( Rodgers interview made clear if value met he will go) then we have replacements at the ready to come in, and we need a few.

{Ed007's Note - I don't think MOR would be too keen to work under Ange again.}

I think Brighton rather than Southampton, he doesn't want to be in a relegation battle from day one.

I remember the interview with MOR when he praised the methods and presence of BR compared to previous season and the difference it made to his game us there for all to see. Although I will be disappointed to see him go and hope it doesn't disrupt the team too much, he has earned the move to a bigger stage and I'm sure he will go further.
Have to say as well about BR, I wasn't convinced about his return, but the way the Bhoys are playing and the football on show: it seems he is getting the best out of his players and well done to all.

So are we saying the Brendan is a better coach and developing than Ange.

{Ed007's Note - No, just MOR wasn't a fan of Ange's man-management style so I doubt he would choose to work under him again.}

If he goes, Engels looks like a great replacement with his passing and vision. As soon as he gets the ball he's looking up for a pass but its the goal MOR scores that we will miss.

Getting a replacement that does what MOR does during a game will be difficult but BR is a good enough coach to move things about and develop others to fill the gap.

If he goes Hatate cannot be allowed to go.

I was negative about BR as well probably more bitter and to be fair got bored of side to side passing, however it's fantastic viewing so far, just hope they back BR if/ when the top players leave, he wants to compete not just qualify for CL he was adamant about that so fingers crossed.

19 Aug 2024 19:00:02
With the money we have already and may take in from plyer sales, plus qualifying for CL and potential extra for draws and wins, gate money, we should be in a position to spend the money BR said we need to, to buy 3 quality players, without making a loss on player transactions.

What a difference players of that quality could make to the team we currently have.

Rodgers seem's to have developed an ange style approach that was seriously lacking in his reappointment, a style that we craved and now has been rehastablish. long may it continue.

{Ed007's Note - Rodgers and Ange have totally different approaches to man management and the relationship between the players and manager/coaches, even John Kennedy has spoke about how distant Ange was whereas Brendan is all over players lives, he wants them to be settled and happy in all aspects of life and is on hand for advice & help at any time.}
