We need a LB and CB as Scales and Taylor are nowhere near good enough for Europe.

I think if we could only have 2 players in if MOR go's, we have enough midfield players to get by, which I know is not good enough 'to get by' but more important are a CB and LM imo.
We have Hatate, Bernardo, CM, Iwata and Odin, all in midfield, at LB we have GT, and in defence, i thought Nawroki would come good but looks like non of the stand ins are trusted by BR.
My fear as the window closing approaches is that there has been very few rumours about a CB, there have been a couple about potential LB's and most are about midfield and up front.

Given the price is apparently £1M, I can see us signing McGowan no matter what takes place with MOR.
But If it were only 2 players, a LB and CB for me are priority.

When talking about Europe and players who can compete t that level, I think we need to separate that conversation into two parts;-
(1) CL and (2) Europa
Clearly as a club, fir a multitude of reasons, we're not set up to function at the leveĺ of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich etc in the CL.
However, with the right investment in players we should be able to regularly complete at Europa League level and make some inroads.

LB and CH. taylor and scales light years away from it in Europe.

LCB and LB 1st 11 starters. we need a better defensive unit right now than anywhere else on pitch to give us any chance in Europe.
Then strengthen other areas in January.
