The media drumming up engels name is bad for us as it will attract clubs from better leagues than ours and that might rule us out. mcciwan again being linked and for a couple of million would be good business to bolster the squad ges definitely got something.

I really can't see us signing Engels for that fee, not when we have paid what we have for Idah, id take Mcowan and also get in lennon Miller, left on loan to motherwell.

Yeah because clubs don't use their own scouts they wait for the Scottish media to identify players for them.

I had a feeling we would go after a Scottish player this window. McCowan would bring the CL quota up to the required 8 homegrown players in a 25 man squad. Bain, Welsh, Ralston, Taylor, Calmac, Forrest, MJ. Would still prefer we sold MJ and just promote another academy player to the squad.

I've still got hope for Dane Murray Pedro. Hopefully a season away at an easier standard playing regularly will help progress and fill him out (providing he stays injury free) . Maybe another loan next season in SPL and hopefully he's progressed to a standard that's on par or better than Welsh is now.
