Edd, Do you think BR would actually ask MOR what he wants to do, if so am sure the answer must be that he wants to go and play in a better league bcoz if not why would it not be announced that he is staying. surely we can't be waiting on the MOR money 1st before we spend big as am sure targets must've been indentified months ago, frustrating ?‍♂️.

{Ed007's Note - Of course a player has a choice if he is sold or not and who he is sold too, the playerr and his agent hold the power in transfers in the modern game.
Part of our sales pitch to players is that they are in the shop window as such - especially to the Pub League - and we will help them to progress their career when the time and money suits everyone. To the same extent, say Chelsea bid £28m and Brighton offered £25m, if MOR wanted the move to Brighton that's what would happen.
Hypothetically if MOR told Rodgers tomorrow he was happy to be here this season no maater what, he has no wish at all to leave etc even a. £50m bid wouldn't buy him.

Celtic can accept bids that they feel are acceptable.
This allows permission to talk to the player.
It is then down to the Clubs to negotiate with the player and his Agent.
The player can then decide if he wants to go or not.
He can decide not to talk to the Clubs either if he doesn't fancy them.
