Seen a lot of talk about us bringing in a quality defensive midfielder and fans saying that's what needed, especially if we lose hatate or O'Riley. I certainly agree we need to improve the midfield and upgrade if possible, but does anyone think Bosun Lawal could be brought in and played beside mcgregor under his guidance? He's big, physical and although he's still very raw I think if developed properly he could save us millions, I'm not saying to have him in the team every single week, I'm suggesting having him involved a lot more this season and being played in games where we need that physicality to be more compact and difficult to break down.

For me he needs loaned out to a good level so that he can play consistently,6 to 8 games a season won't do it.

Going by Rodgers comments about Lawal I can't see him featuring much unless he addresses his deficiencies.

Def not, too slow and immobile. What's wrong with Iwata?

Sun saying we have had 2 bids for MLS forward Crowe rejected. He would definitely be a project if it is us, but if it is, I hope that we are also pushing for Idah or another player of his level because he is no back up or challenger for kyogo.

Also media trying to push a potential player swap type deal with Southampton for MOR and a player of theirs who is not getting a game for them. They are trying to push the players value as potentially reaching 15 million.

If he cannot get a game for them, firstly his potential value isn't anywere near 15 million and secondly from what i have seen, he is nowhere near MOR's ability.

If any of this is true I hope MOR is a stand alone negotiation.

The Canadian forward we are looking at his contract is up at the end of 2024. It was an article online where I read it. So surely we could sign him on a bosman deal.

I'm not sure bosman applies in America as it was a European ruling.

Why loan out Lawwall, he has had at least a year on loan . Surely he deserves an opportunity to develop under BR, highly rated as a development coach . Lawwall is strong and big, doesn’t necessary make him a good footballer . BR, I think publicly mentioned areas he needs to improve as he thinks Lawwall can address them . Training daily with better quality players should help a player who has had a season or more on loan.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree with you.

Need to get down the docs quickly. ?.

Given what BR has already said and his run out against Chelsea the other night, I'd doubt that Bosun Lawal is anywhere close to the first team squad.

As for Southampton and the story around their Northern Irish midfielder, the stuff of fantasy.

I like iwata and think I prefer kwon to lawel. Too slow and ponderous.

I like Iwata and maybe Khon, I am not sure about Lawall, he is certainly a big unit but his ball control can be loose and I think he would either benefit from training with better players and BR, or else he’s not for us . If we keep him, we will find out for definite by Christmas or certainly before end of season.
