The USA trip has been a success on many fronts. Results, performances, team spirit/ camaraderie, fringe players getting a run, players witnessing our "global" reach etc. Just a pity the likes of Bernardo wasn't their to experience it all. If BR was given the choice of having him for the trip or saving £1m and getting him a few days before the season opener we all know his answer. I've no doubt we will get him in the door but we should have done the deal sooner, cash isn't the only consideration. Same with other signings, getting them in after pre-season isn't ideal and players often site this as reason they are not ready. Poor show regardless of who we sign.

Sorry chinks but that is nonsense to suggest it is that easy to get players in. The deal for Bernardo has been moving slowly due to the clubs trying to get their deal done and then his agent getting his part done. It is not always down to Celtic why thing go slowly unless it's an excuse to moan at the club.
The same with other players, the Euros and the Copa have not long finished and clubs and agents would notbe doing anything until they were finished.
Now clubs will be seeing who wants to buy their players and try to get several clubs involved so they get the most money. No club ever accepts first offer or submits their highest offer first.
The transfer market has been very slow up till now unless your going for the projects we went for last time but we are shopping in a different market with clubs financially on par or above us.

If it was easy to get players in Celtic would have set up a schedule of something like a new player. per day until they had filled all the positions BR wanted .
There are probably many good genuine reasons for ridiculing our Board and there seems to be plenty on here who love doing so . Your criticism and ridicule would be much more effective if it was kept to the areas that they honestly fall down on.
