No excuses for vandalism etc.
However, Glasgow City Council and others have plenty to say about the rubbish all over the streets.
Now, maybe it's just me but.
A beautiful sunny day.
A full football stadium of fans celebrating their team's league trophy presentation.
The stadium is walking distance from the city centre.
Historically, the supporters of the two biggest clubs in Scotland head to the city centre to celebrate when their team wins anything.
Usually there is a lot of rubbish left behind.
Now I am no rocket scientist but.
Supplying extra bins and increase uplifts might help ease the pile up!
That said, walking through Glasgow, you see piles of rubbish all over and not just during match day celebrations!
Wonder what plans they have in place for Cup Final Day?

I was about to write the same.
The fans dispersed the area when it was still daylight.
In 2021,
The Police had running battles trying to get Sevco fans away from George Square and it was at night time.
The Celtic fans were once again well behaved, considering the Tens Of Thousands of Celtic fans who descended on to the Trongate and surrounding areas.

Simple arithmetic. Ask any Rangers fan to research the number of arrests made and police officers injured at GS in 2021 compared with the same info from yesterday at the Tron and ask them to get back to you. What response will you get? Silence. They know deep down they take things to another level, always have, always will. Yes, there are things some Celtic supporters have done I don't agree with but in terms of stuff that quickly becomes aggressive and violent, if there are any blue noses reading, you're on another level.

Not for the first time, nor will it be the last time but the Glasgow City Council and the Scottish Police act in a bigoted and biased way when dealing with the low life scumRangers2012 fans compared to the Celtic fans who win the SPL so often nowadays 12/ 13 attempts, Celtic fans know how to enjoy themselves in the city, before going home to celebrate further with their wives and partners .
The Rangers2012 fans and the vast majority of the Police who are also Sevco fans are afraid to go home as they know their siblings/ partners etc will be ready and waiting to give them a hiding .
Surely the real talking point regarding fans yesterday, was Sevco fans fighting amongst themselves at their Hearts match, how many women/ children or indeed Cops anongst their support injured .
I presume we won’t have long to wait before the Authorities announce a blanket ban on Sevco’s travelling support, number of matches will be the only thing in doubt.

Aye cos it's the councils fault cos there's no enough bins lol, nothing to do with the neds that gather making an a%£e of themselves!

I am sure there were a serious shortage of bins for the fans after they left Celtic Pk and made their way to Merchant’s City . Council should have been aware of the need for extra bins . The bins may or may not be used, but at least the fans should have bins available, so that fans who have a decent civic responsibility can dispose of rubbish correctly.

I'm sorry but trying to justify the carnage of the Trongate with. Well they did it. Is simply not good enough.
To say the council and police scotland are bigoted or Rangers fans cause they dare to criticise the behaviour of fans fighting amongst themselves and all the broken bottles, litter and vandalism they have caused is just looking through green tinted glasses at the world.
IT'S TIME THIS DEBACLE AND SORRY EXCUSE TO BREAK THE LAW AT THE TRONGATE STOPS.
20 May 2024 12:15:41
WHEN POLICE PATROLLING IBROX DURING MATCHES ARE EITHER BLIND OR DEAF. WHEN POLICE STOP REPORTING CROWD MISBEHAVIOUR AT A WEST OF SCOTLAND FOOTBALL CLUB .
When Scottish Police explain why several parties with Rangers players present, were held during Covid lock down and only a very small fraction of players who were not at that time playing due to injury or poor form were named .
It should be simple and straight forward for the Scottish Police to be an impartial force for all. If that’s what they want they should act in a fair and impartial manner, and not based on Religious or club affiliation.
Just one other thing, non police uniformed Rangers2012 fans have in the past wrecked toilets in Celtic Pk, there was no need for uniform Scottish police wrecking toilets, I don’t think it is a good method of improving relations with Celtic club and its fans .
I do agree that deliberately breaking the law anywhere is wrong but some times there can be aggravated circumstances that need to be taken into account.
20 May 2024 16:03:29
Des the law is the law weather aggravated circumstances are there or not. Sti gives no person the right to break the law cause there's a mass crowd whoever they support, whatever religious back ground they're from.
It's unacceptable and Celtic Football Club need to try and do more to stop these idiots, using winning the league to break the law and create carnage.
{Ed007's Note - It's 100% absolutely got nothing to do with the Club and until such a time that strict liability is brought in it it will continue to be 100% absolutely nothing to do with the Club.}
