It seems to me that we have no new money to spend after CCV, Jota and the new LB i hope that McCarthy and others can step up while in this faze of development.

richy as ed stated the quality and depth we have right now is capable ange is going with what he has just now and getting the players up to match speed then will make his signing wisely when all is assessed with one or two coming in and one or two leaving.
people are going on about a striker we don't need another striker wee have the bhoy kenny who i think will be decent enough to be our 3 rd striker as we play one up top why pay money when we have some one who is decent enough and will be happy enough to be a 3rd choice and improve and learn as time goes on. only player we really need is a hard tacking midfielder with dig every were else is sorted no point in spending just for the sake of it.

Young Kenny showed he can finish and make the right runs for a CF. He will be fine as back up. For the first time in years, even MON never had this, we have depth to rest players with a CL game in midweek. I'm really optimistic about the season.

Normally the support would have been very (rightly) concerned with the lack of activity going into CL qualifiers. This season we got the business done very early and efficiently, regarding two players we wanted need- and in the past would have dilly-dallied and lost. We followed that up with another defender and have several weeks to assess what we need, while doing all we can to offload the surplus and deadwood, to make room and free-up more funds. We have also loaned out young players to gain experience with SPL clubs, hopefully to return - experienced and improved.
I suspect the 'hype' over the water with their first real transfer activity since their formation in 2012 has triggered some concern? However, I still think we will sign other players before the deadline and remain the strongest, more potent squad in the land. You just have to forget the dithering and complacency shown under the previous Celtic regime and look at the bigger picture.

Celtic have seemingly spent approximately 17 million. but those will be payments made over several years I would imagine.
Everyone knows that there are probably 2 problem areas in the squad. CDM and CB.
The difference this window is, I have complete faith in the board to bring players in and that is a stark contrast to previous years.
Mark lawwell surely has a few gems in the pipeline.

It's being reported that we've made contact with Liverpool over Davies. I think he would be a good addition. He'll get game time here which he needs and he'll surely be happy coming in as the 3rd choice CB after his lack of game time and the step up to a club like celtic from PNE or Sheffield utd.

Its also a first pre season for most of the celtic lads
So that adds a lot rather than be thrown in.
As for striker I think we have good strikers plus back up.

Ange, my cat and the wider universe knows we need another CB. We all know that the prize is winning the league again to secure another £40-50m next year in the CL. We also know that to go into the CL as is will be making the task so much more difficult. We are in line for a big cheque so use it to ensure it’s not a one off and that means it’s investing it in players who make the cheque delivery happen and who move on for much more than we spent on them. We have sat on our hands and hoped for so many years, missed so much money by this feckin disastrous strategy. Ange knows what he needs and if the board can’t see what needs to be done they should be chased along Linda n road. We are not finished because we are not finished. We never stop is the mantra and to stop now is like preparing a lovely steak pie from scratch and not putting it in the oven. We need a CB. Another striker would be great, I think Gucci could be our ball winner in the middle, but a CB is absolutely vital. Ange will get one. I am as certain of that as I am Emily Blunt won’t be taking up my Netflix and Chill offer tonight.

Ange has said We are looking at a couple more If it ends up just being one I hope it's a quality or decent holding midfield player only real position I would say we are short in.
