Could julien have a future I he knock down and gets his act together, it wasn't that long ago he'd never be out the team.

I reckon he could have a part to play next season. I would be happy with him and lawel as our back up cb and send Welsh on loan to an spl team to get him games which is what he needs.

I can't disagree with you Mally and Cory on Julien.
When you look at the fact we've got a fully fit, 7M CB, wirh his ability and experience as back up, it's not a bad place to be ?
With a solid pre season under his belt and IF he's fully committed to Celtic then why not?
Especially if no one comes in for him during the remainder of this transfer window.

IMO he has missed far too many games since he signed and who's to say his injury problems will not persist? There is a very refreshing positivity around the club just now from top to bottom, with Ange building and improving a very good side. Therefor, without sounding heartless, I reckon guys like Jullien, Ajeti and Johnston, who have failed to establish any consistent contribution, should be replaced with better, more reliable options.
{Ed007's Note - I think one mistake the Club have made this summer is triggering the previously unmentioned years option on Jullien's contract before the loan to Schalke was finalised. Now he has 2 years left on his Celtic deal and the asking fee will show that. I did expect us to take a loss on the Frenchman which I didn't mind as it was getting him out of the Club and freeing up squad space, now Jullien has the security of another 2 years so what's stopping him picking up "injuries" for another year?
In say that, I still expect Jullien to be away before the window shut as his agent is still talking to clubs on the continent.}

tbh i don't think jullien had that much injurys was just that one he took one for the team that kept him out for a wile.
{Ed007's Note - Jullien missed 13 games with a back injury before his knee injury. How many times did Jullien himself and Celtic staff say that he was due back only for him not to appear, there are stories that the Celtic staff felt Jullien should have been a lot fitter than he was saying he was and the medical information wasn't backing up what Jullien was telling them.}

My personal opinion is that Jullien really wants to be a footballer but he finds the SPL too tough for his typically French softie approach, hence his extended periods of unexplained injuries.
And Ange doesn't seem to like that kind of thinking. HH.

If it’s just two players Ange wants, it must be a CB and probably a holding midfielder, although Gucci could do a job. I would like another striker because if Kyogo and Gio get injured we have nothing of the quality required. We are in the CL and will n the league in it again. We should cover ourselves and there are so many games we will need adequate replacements, not hoping academy or B team players can step up. I don’t think the quality is there. If those players step up great, but it’s too much of a risk. Make it three Ange and include Mmaee please. Ta.
