On paper we are not stronger than we were last year (other than potentially Bernabei for Taylor) but it feels like we are due to the huge boost of CCV and Jota signing. Also with a full pre season we will have a fit and coherent unit. Added to that the other mob seem content to resign guys who have seen better days. A quality ball winning midfielder in the mould of a young Broony and we will stroll the league. I'm sure Ange has this covered and although Lewis Ferguson has been touted and would do a job, for the money they would demand im sure Ange can get better. Genuinely really excited about the season ahead. HH.

I want a CDM brought in (or McCarthy giving a chance) push McGregor up the pitch and GG playing number 9 kyogo number 10.

To be fair, we are way stronger than we were this time last year. On paper and in reality. This nonsense that we've spent around £14m to stand still is just that, nonsense. CCV and Jota were not our players. We have paid a premium to change this and now have them on long term deals, thus increasing the value of our squad as well as having the continuity. Same can be said for Daizen. Neither of the names mentioned, nor a few others had the benefit of a preseason with the club last year. I'd say we are clearly in a much stronger position than we were last year.

Will Abada be first choice for RW or Jota on the right and Maeda on the left? I think we'll absolutely stroll it this season domestically. The challenge is Europe. 3rd place would be the target but depending on the luck of the draw maybe even 2nd.

@MikeybhoyOG, agreed.
We may not be hugely different in personnel (apart from Bernabei and Siegrist) but we're stronger because they have been together for a while and Ange now has a full pre-season with them all without having to deal with Champions League qualifiers. I'm thinking we'll bring in another or or maybe two to boost the quality. HH.

We are 30% stronger than last year.
Now its a full preseason players not burnt out doing two seasons in a row players getting thrown in the deep end and told to hit the ground running.
Players wil had a rest.
They know each other now.
Jota vickers and a few others have now signed long term contracts worry over and the financial future sorted. So clear heads now.

Wee Jota didn't look as if he had a rest, he seemed to be on a flight every day for the last 5 or 6 weeks! lol HH.

Agree we have added finical value to club. Signing CCV, Madeda and jota permanently, personally don't really care about the value of the squad. Adding the LB gives us more option there.
So on last season we have improved the squad slightly, we also lost 2 big players out midfield in Rogic and Bitton.
It's only early July and with Ange and Nicholson we have people that know what they are doing.
Getting big wage thief's of our bill will help us. Personally think we are 3 players short. CH, DM and Striker.

We're stronger in every way due to the fact we have a full pre season, we have 2 loans that are now permanent, that alone gives you a boost, we have a right good keeper to push Joe and a lb very highly rated to compete with Taylor, abd were not done yet.

We are stronger, we have two guys who were giving us sleepless nights, worrying if they were going to sign, even though I knew we had the option to buy and only a complete idiot wouldn’t trigger it. Even if we had to sell them immediately. The fact both of them chose us is a massive boost to the team and us. We have a new LB who looks tasty, can dribble and put a cross in. A great keeper to cover and push Joe. We will sign a left sided CB, because Ange and us all know we need one. Another striker would be great, Mmaee looks fantastic but I know that probably wasn’t even a thing. We will get an enforcer, we need one. For once the club are doing what they always should have, throwing punches quickly and often from the get go. . No feckin about, and look what a difference psychologically it has made to every Tim on the barsteward planet. Keep it up Celtic, this is who we are, we never feckin stop.
