Do we really think Jota will be a celtic player come the end of the window three key things must happen Jota wants it Benfica are happy with it and can we afford it?

The thing people have to remember is Jota has been on holiday along with the majority of players out there. We can afford it, the fees are split over years as opposed to one lump sum. We have dropped plenty of players (and more to come) off the wage bill. The only factor is Jota. He could move somewhere else but reality is we have champions league football a platform to grow and a fan base that loves him.
I imagine Benfica will have a sell on fee and he isn’t part of the new managers plans. On top of that the window opened last week.
If he never signed it would be a huge mistake on his part in my honest opinion.

For the first time in quite a few seasons, I do not have the worries and apprehension of previous close-seasons. The main reasons are, my trust in AP to attract decent players, the new-found drive and efficiency of the Board over recruitment and finally the absence of the dreaded qualifiers, that always seemed to catch us cold. Whether Jota signs (and I think he will) , or not, I am sure we are preparing to progress and improve - and not stand still from a position of strength, that has been a regular fault in our history.
