Just watched the Scotland game.

Clarke made 6 changes from the Ukraine game. Is that an admission that playing Cooper, Hanley, Gilmour and Hickey was a complete and utter nonsense in such a vital game? I said in an earlier post that Clarke is just like the England teams of old where players are picked on reputation, seniority and the club they played for - CURRENT FORM meant nothing.

So well done Big AR for showing that clown the error of his ways. If AR and the team that started against Armenia don't play against Ireland then Clarke merely confirms my suspicions about his ability to lead Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

I fear he felt it as more of a chance of resting folk for the weekend. The guys who came in have certainly gave him something to think about though.

If we played that shape, with Ralston at rb last week, it could have been a totally different game. Hoping he learns from his mistakes. ROI are definitely there for the taking on Saturday.

{Ed007's Note - Are you OG from YouTube?}

No, not on YouTube ED. I was mikeybhoy on here years ago but stopped posting, just reading. Then couldn't mind my password. Think the last I spoke to you was about selling icw tickets. One of the OG's on here though, hence the name. Back in the day of guys like wee pat, that valentines day I read the news on here etc.

The squad will be rotated with the amount of internationals in such a short space of time.

Thanks guys

Pundit - I don't agree with rotation - barring injury and total burnout - I think the best team should always be played at all times. What good was rotation when Ukraine pumped us out the WC. Well done Clarke for keeping things fresh but you're out the WC and we look forward to the freesh legs against Armenia! When a guy has proved himself in a spot then that spot is his to lose - but never for a "tinkerman" in my opinion.

Clarke crowing about making the EURO 2024. Three things.

1) He hasn't made it yet and it won't happen just because he says so - this "fake it until you make it" doesn't impress me at all.

2) Bragging about possibly making the EUROS is a very thin veneer covering up for failing to make the 2022 WC. The "Never mind there is always the next tournament" is a phrase no manager should ever have pass his lips.

3) The EUROS is to the WC what the EUROPA Cup is the the European Cup. Second best on every possible level. It's like Jim Bowen saying "Let's look at what you could have won".

Now let's do Ireland - with Ralstandinho and player on form.

I agree with you Stubbsie best 11 at all times for me but you can bet your mortgage Clarke will rotate his starting 11.
