I think it was myself and Buzz who had a debate about how them winning the EL could affect us in the CL. Dale Johnson from ESPN tweeted the following this evening. Great news:
"Rangers, of course, would avoid the Champions League qualifiers by winning the Europa League.
It would mean both Celtic AND Rangers would go direct to the group stage.
Rangers would be seeded in the group stage draw as UEL titleholders, while Celtic would likely be in Pot 4.".

UEFA confirmed today that Russia will remain suspended and the Russian clubs will be banned from their European competitions next season.
It means that Villarreal could win the Champions League this season and Celtic will still reach the group stages of the CL next season.
It also means that Sevco will play in the 3rd qualifying round of the league path to qualify for the CL.
It looks like Sevco will be seeded in both the 3rd qualifying round and the playoffs.
It also means that Sevco will be guaranteed at least the Europa League group stages next season and I think Hearts will be guaranteed at least the Conference League group stages next season.

Somebody was worried if they won the EL then we would have to play qualifiers even if we won the league. I thought it was yourself mate but it's not really important, the good news is we're back in the big time!

BB - the really great thing is also that the Russian coefficient will be ripped to shreds next year. As they are one of our closest rivals for an automatic CL spot then it really is a Christmas and New Year rolled into one for Scottish teams. It is something we could profit from for the next 5 years to come.
