There is still "VAR" to go

So Scottish teams have voted for VAR from next season, but this cynical Tim already can see the problems.
The VAR control team are supposed to be there to help and flag up possible penalties and red card offences missed by the match referee.
But with Madden, Beaton and Clancy (the Three Blind Mice) Celtic will have NO chance of getting fair decisions.

Totally agree Tim, we've already seen plenty of shocking decisions in games/ leagues that already use VAR, Scotland requires impartial individuals to even have a chance of getting big decisions right.

I’m glad VAR got voted in.
The amount of retrospective bans the Sevco players have received and the amount of retrospective bans opposing players have received, for offences against our Celtic players in the last 5 years is shameful.

Buzz Bomb 10 I honestly can’t see VAR making much difference because it’s the same honest mistake refs who will be looking at the decisions .

I hope your keeping well Oldkilly.
I think it will make a difference.
Your right about the 50/ 50 decisions.
But decisions like the penalty Madden gave at Dens Park a couple of weeks ago when Sevco were losing, should be a thing of the past.

Your right Oldkilly, same inadequate people running it probably.

I had my concerns all along because it would be a committee of dodgy decision makers in cahoots. However, would it be different if the video evidence was cut and dried? I still see dubious decisions down south even after several minutes reviewing from different angles with managers and tv pundits arguing the point; so I remain skeptical.

With VAR Sevco won't get half their penalties!

if we really want fairness and parity then the VAR panel should consist of referees from outside of Scotland.
A bit like Celtic speaking out about the 5-way agreement. Will never happen though.

The refs could be from Mars you'd still get all the conspiracy stories?.

20 Apr 2022 20:40:57
Will these var decisions be shown to the public at the same time as the ref reviews it? HH.

20 Apr 2022 22:53:47
It'll be same as you see elsewhere only difference the VAR room will be in some orange hall in Larkhall?.
