The more I read and kearn about this Australian Derby the more am loving it, from it being billed as the ange homecoming tour to the daft protests, now we're hearing celtic getting the lions share of the dosh and If sevco pull out there's a 1m clause to pay, now auld squinty saying he'll pay to get them out, I feel their pain ??.

Starting to enjoy the theatrics myself Mally'.
What's most amusing is that they appear to be employing EVERY move that would have been contained in the Andy Kaufman playbook of footballing satire.
It wouldn't surprise me if their next move was that the players turn out for the next game dressed as comedy chickens ala David Brent. Now that's one of their games I would watch!

I think sevco are using this as an insurance for later in the year. If they win the league they will pull out pay the compensation and try and steal the moral high ground with their supporters. Lose the league and they will need every single penny next season to survive and again our board will throw them the scraps to survive.

I think I am missing something.
Why don’t they want to play? Is it simply because Celtic will receive more money? I seldom read the other sides pages (too much bile for me) so somebody enlighten me please. ?.

The Celtic fans have also protested about the Aussie tournament.
The Sevco fans are in full meltdown because Celtic will receive much more money and they can’t handle the fact that Celtic are the main attraction.
I do agree Auf, that the trip could come back to bite us because I would expect crowd trouble, over a number of days Down Under.

The fact that alcohol is allowed during games in Oz, there is no doubt there would be trouble, even Ausie zombies like a fight when they are drunk.

I agree with that Mally.
It will be good for Celtic to spread the brand. I love Australia and Sydney’s a beautiful city. Great people and I would love to go back again, especially if I could take in a Celtic match whilst there.
Hope the organisers don’t let the Rangers politics ruin the tournament.
