While always grateful to come away from a difficult away venue with three points, and especially "mini sevco" we keep making it difficult for ourselves.
We dominate games and make oodles and oodles of chances yet we only convert a fraction of them.
We give teams hope and when we do, as has happened regularly, lose a goal, our defence seems to go into panic mode.
Yes I know there were reasons for our drop in energy in second half, 3 new players not fully up to speed to keep it going for 90 minutes, the player's fitness will improve over the season once Ange gets to work regularly with them, but in the meantime especially in league games, we must make better use of the 5 subs we are now allowed to use, and when energy levels drop, bring on an able deputy to close games out.

Totally agree. 5 subs gives us a great chance to replace at least 2 midfielders after 65 mins to inject energy to team. We are almost in a position where any combination of Calmac, Hatate, Rogic, Bitton, Turnbull, o'Riley, Guchi and Mccarthy should be able to dominate full 90 mins without energy levels dropping too much.

I'd agree Tim that going forward, once we have players back, the 5 subs should be utilised effectively in order to better manage the players as well as the game itself and I'm sure they will.

Last night though, to be fair, the Hearts goal was offside by a mile and up until that point we were dominating the ball and possession.

Had that goal not been given we may well have won more comfortably than we did.
