Here I didn't know that Liam Boyce boy was a celtic fan, always assumed he was a fan of the mob.

He’s from the Falls Road in West Belfast.

I remember saying he was a big celtic fan when he had a trial with us a good few years ago now, but he went to Germany instead.

Lennon tried to sign him during his first spell . but he went to Germany instead.

“Where I’m from, everyone is a Celtic fan so to get the chance to play alongside their players was brilliant. Celtic wanted me to come back as Neil wanted to see me in a trialists’ game.

“It would have been a dream come true to sign for Celtic. They’re the best team in Scotland and are regularly in the Champions League so it would have been amazing.

His own word JFP while he was at Cliftonville who are more of a Catholic club I am sure.

They are and before signing for Cliftonville he played with Immaculata FC as a youth who were founded by the Legion of Mary.

Not a lot of ‘that mob’ where Liam Boyce grew up. ?.

Cliftonville was a Protestant club for 95 years but the surrounding area became a Catholic Community during the troubles in the early 1970s.
It was in 1974 that Cliftonville reached out to the local Catholic Community, who didn’t have a football club to follow since Belfast Celtic were forced out of the game in 1949.

I’m always wary of any Tim that plays/ played for norn iron, strange behaviour.

Why is it strange to play for their national team?
