I WAS enjoying basking in our win and them dropping points until I looked at our fixtures for end January and then in February.
We are at Tynecastle end January then we have Motherwell, Aberdeen and Hibs ALL AWAY February, in between we have Sevco at Celtic Park.
It would be some going but if we took all 15 points what a boost that would do our title chances.

Tough schedule but that's why you need a squad, people saying g the other week we've got too many players and with internationally can never have enough good players, and well need them all.

Celtic will play all of the clubs in the top 6 away from home before the split.
Sevco will play them all at home.
After the split the SPFL will then need to decide which club Celtic will be forced to visit for a 3rd time this season and that same club will be forced to visit Ibrox for a 3rd time this season.

19 Jan 2022 13:43:58
How's that fair.

We'll always have a run of matches, whether home or away, at points during the season, that will be regarded as 'tough'games.

We now have a squad of players, not yet complete, but more than capable of continuing our winning run and taking this league title back to CP.

Ange has practically single handedly turned round our first team squad in less than 2 transfer windows and has us playing attractive, attacking, winning football - playing the Celtic way.

I'm looking forward to these games with confidence and I think things are coming together at just the right time.

Time will tell.

Buzz, I can see it being hearts away 3 times this year for us.

19 Jan 2022 14:37:53
That would be rubbing salt into our wounds Pk85.
Considering Celtic should’ve been playing Dundee twice away before the split and Not Hearts.
If the SPFL done the above, there would be no problems and nobody would have to visit the same club for a 3rd time.
Basically the SPFL fudged up the fixture list to suit one club.

19 Jan 2022 15:31:58
Buzz, how often have the ibrox team had this advantage in recent years?

19 Jan 2022 16:32:49
Since Sevco have played with the big boys from the 2016/ 17 season,
Both Celtic and Sevco haven’t been forced to play the same club 3 times at home or away in the same season.
In 2017/ 18 season both St, Mirren and Livingston were promoted from the Championship.
We can all agree that it didn’t matter who we played away from home twice before the split because both clubs weren’t expected to reach the top 6 in the 2018/ 19 season.
This season however, we can all agree again that Hearts were fancied to reach the top 6 and Dundee had very little chance of achieving a top 6 place.
So why did the SPFL have Celtic playing Hearts twice away before the split because it now looks a certainty that Celtic will need to visit a top 6 club for a 3rd time this season and Sevco will play that same club at Ibrox for a 3rd time this season.
If the SPFL had Celtic visiting Dens Park twice before the split, there wouldn’t be any problems and an unfair advantage to Sevco OR an a unfair Disadvantage to Celtic.

Never, ever liked the split . I know it was supposed to introduce a bit of drama towards the end of the season, but does it really do that? Maybe in the relegation battle, but not at the top (my opinion) . Maybe it time to go back to the old days. Something like 18 teams in the top flight, play home and away, 34 games in all. Maybe the top teams want the revenue the extra home games provide, (ie a third old firm game) but it ( (the fixture list) is open to unfairly favouring one team over another as Buzz has pointed out. The old way was at least a level playing field. ?.
