It was a really good result last night.
It was an excellent first half and our new Japanese players were a stand out.
I think Hibs will have a good 2nd half of the season under Maloney.
Although Hibs didn't create too much, they passed the ball about with confidence.
Hibs actually had more possession in both halves with a combined 53% possession.
I think that's the most possession against Celtic in a domestic game since Celtic won at Ibrox in 2019. (Sevco had 60% possession)
Celtic lost at Ibrox twice in the league last season and played both games with 10 men for a combined 92 minutes and we still never had a low 47% possession.
Celtic also had more possession in the C.V. match against Sevco and we never had a shot on target.
It was the same with our 1-0 league cup final win when Sevco were the better team and Celtic played another game with 10 men but yet the possession that day was 50/ 50.
It will be interesting to see what Maloney can do with this Hibs squad.

First half was good 2nd a wee bit flat, wish we would just hammer someone, we create chances but fail to finish all to often and the manager has said this o more than one occasion.

Mally, I didn’t want to be negative in my original post but Celtic were crying out for changes after about 60 minutes.
Hibs had made 3 changes before our first change and Celtic weren’t closing them down as much.
Our intensity increased again when Ange made a triple substitution after 74 minutes.

i would be happy with Ralston at RB Juranvic LB Taylor doesn't track back quick enough He was caught out a few times last night with Starfelt covering for him which puts him out of position The lads a trier though It was a good weighted pass fo Abada which led to the penalty I had read a few posts a while back from 1 of the Irish lads and Ed saying Hatate will be a good player Yous are spot on ??He looks as if he's played here for years The amount of ground he covered was unreal. He was allover the park, always wanting the ball, tracks back, presses, tackling to win back possession, great passer How much did he cost Buzz and how long a contract did we give him? It was funny when Forrest was trying to tell him he was the man of the match at the end?.

I think Hatate was just over £1 million Steff and we signed him until June 2026.

Sure Hibs had more passes than us too. Shows they ain't going to just hoof the ball under Maloney we got that game out the way at the right time they'll be a tougher opposition next time we play them and hopefully they can take some points off the other mob too along the way.
