Thoughts on the left back position.

In my opinion Greg Taylor isn't the answer. Defensively decent, gives his all but going forward with so much possession Celtic need more.

I'm hoping Liam Scales gets a change long term good going forward looks the part in the few games he has played.

I agree That's the position we need to fill with better experienced quality Taylor gives it his all though Scales to early to tell how he will go.

{Ed007's Note - Juranovic is the best LB at the Club so just play him there with Ralston at RB.}

Bang on he’s better out off position at left back and better than any other option we have at left back.

I’m in a minority but I like Taylor there are times we need to defend first and foremost particularly in Europe.

He gives us everything he’s got and you can ask no more of a man and he provides cover.

{Ed007's Note - I always stick up for Taylor as well JFP but with the way Juranovic has played at LB and Ralston has at RB why change it?}

Ticktock that's jotas job your wanting taylor to do.

I agree Juranovic is our best option at left back with Ralston and right back. That would be my first choice and I wouldn’t change it.

But it’s a long season and horses for courses and Taylor for me is a good laddie defensively and provides cover.

But it would be Juranovic at left back and Ralston at right back every day of the week for me too.

I’ve also been disappointed to see criticism levelled at Welsh. He has more dig than Juilien or Starfelt. I’d have no fear playing him against Gios George Square Wreckers at least he might provide the red card we should have earned on a few previous occasions for wiping one of them out when we’re losing.

{Ed007's Note - I like Welsh too mate and said on the pod last night if he stays at Celtic he is future captain material. He's more than comfortable at domestic level and will only get better going forward under Ange.}

?.

{Ed007's Note - Even with Jullien fit(fish) Welsh is our No.3 CB and he should be challenging Starfelt - who looks like he needs a break to regroup - for a startling spot. After the length of time Jullien has been out he's not going to be fully fit/sharp and Welsh can claim that 2nd/3rd choice CB position beside CCV.}

I would rather have a left back that can defend, Scales looks good going forward but poor defensively, we have had too many like that recently, .

Agreed 100%.

As I said Welsh has a bit of dig and Julienne has a serious question mark over his fitness.

{Ed007's Note - And his minerals/heart for me....

His tights get ripped very easily.

{Ed007's Note - We've all been there on a Saturday night mate - that's why I prefer fishnets.}

Welsh is going to be a Celtic captain if he keeps progressing.

For me Taylor is an honest pro, limited but he gives 100% for the Jersey.

I've never been a fan of players being played out of position but the exception has to be when that player has bags of ability, enter JJ.

My teenage son changed my mind on this when he argued the case and I've got to say, he's right - 100%.

Ralston has been superb under Ange, a real threat going forward and as hard as a coffin nail.

Those two, when fit, are first picks at LB and RB respectively - every time.

{Ed007's Note - C'mon, Pedro - your Mrs would ragdoll most of the WWE to be fair.}
