see we have one subject our friends from down the road agree on. Both teams seem to want VAR.
My question is if VAR gets used for let's say a penalty decision and the players dive we know those ones, ( we love when it's our player that makes it OK. ??) do they get a yellow card.
I also think the diving players would stop as they would get found out.
So the emotions go from yes we got a penalty, so what our player dived.
Now the emotions would change to players fuming at there own players for diving and the diving player gets a yellow card. This changes the game slightly.
Be great if was here from January the 1st 2022.
Is it optional does every SPFL club team get it. Is it free paid for by Scottish football. Or will it just be the ones who think they get decisions against them. Or the teams that think refs have favourite teams as now refs can get called out.
I want VAR the drama anything to stop cheating and this goes for the refs and players as well, it stops garbage refereeing decisions if they have any bias to a particular team which now stops maybe it will be a level playing field.
There are a lot of positives. ye it slightly slows the game down but the emotional drama.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was always pro var, but it is just wrong wrong wrong to chop a goal for offside cos someones kneecap is off.
The offside rule wasnt invented for that reason. If u make a still of any 2 oppposing players even at a hundredth of a second one part of the body will be ahead of the other guys. Its just nonsense.

A report mentions that Scottish TOP clubs will get the chance to vote for VAR before the end of February 2022.
I’m guessing Top clubs will mean only the Premiership clubs will get a vote.
If it gets introduced, it will probably only be installed into the 12 Premiership stadiums.
It could be in place for the end of December next year, after the World Cup.
It will be interesting to see if it will get used in cup games because it means some games will have VAR and other matches will not, in the same competition.

VAR will only work in Scotland once there are not ref's from the spfl doing it during games. It needs to be outsider who have no connection to a club in Scotland. Otherwise nothing will change in my opinion.

That's the problem @BUZZBOMB right there.
Now my problem is every manager in the SPFL HAS had there say on interviews after games, all we ever hear them moan about is bad decision by refs and lines men. as after every game they moan, that decisions went against us blah blah 95% of teams who play against us only ever have limited chances.
So let's let's see how many managers and club owners actually vote this in. Many are going to look really stupid if they don't vote in as every one of them has had their moans on live TV about refs or linesmen or players diving or assaults on the pitch etc.
Let's see what happens now.
