St. Johnstone have showed in recent times that they are a good cup team.
We all know they won both domestic cups last season.
In 2020 Celtic beat St. Johnstone in the Quarter Final of the Scottish Cup, on a heavy pitch in Perth.
Christie whipped in a free kick with only 9 minutes to go, which ended up in the net and that was the difference between the sides.
Outwith Celtic, the last time St. Johnstone lost a domestic cup game was in July 2019 when they failed to qualify from their league cup group section.

can someone tell me why the so called experts are calling this game to be so close ie 2-0 or 2-1
im taking celtic to win by 4 goals hampdens massive pitch will be in our favour, jota and abada to run amok.

St Johnstone are cup holders so they will be up for it, Nick Walsh will be his usual and we may have a makeshift back-line.
However, our attacking players in their current form will be the difference for me.
