Hi ed, how are celtics finances going after C.V. and do we have a bank loan?
{Ed007's Note - From @swissramble on Twitter (who I highly recommend for financial stuff). Celtic have a loan facility but it doesn't show as being drawn on. Also if you look through his Twitter feed he says that the latest accounts don't include any Edouard, Christie or Ajer money.

Won’t include the money on the Cashflow but most will be in on the PnL.
Celtic have been paying £1.28m a year towards a debt repayment for the last 5 years. I would imagine this would be some form of loan payable. But seem to only have 1 year left. Maybe some sort of payment for refurbishments at lennoxtown or similar.
At the end of the 2019/ 20 season. Celtic increased their revolving credit facility (overdraft) from £2m to £13m. They would have paid a decent fee to the bank for this facility but then only get charged interest when they use it which they are no where near.

The above is really good example of how our finances really work.
Player amortisation is how we buy players. So that 11.8 will be made up of (approx)
Barkas - 1.2
Taylor - .35
Bolingoli - .75
Jillien - 1.7
Soro - .5
Turnbull - .65
Ajeti - 1.2
Edouard - 2.25
Duffy - Loan Fee
Elyounousi - Loan fee
Plus others that have left plus some younger players. We always split the cost of the older the duration of the contract. So for example if we take Kyogo in next year as these accounts only cover to June 21 he should add approximately £1.2 to the ammorts.

Sorry ignore the first line in my first comment for some reason I though Ajer was sold before year end but he wasn’t.
Celtic will post a very health profit for 21/ 22 and take a huge dent out of the 21 loss.

Is that £20.8 million figure under 2021 match day, the season ticket money Celtic brought in with no fans in the ground.
With no other match day money being brought in from June 30th 2020 until June 30th 2021.
Scottish Clubs depend on season tickets/ money through the turnstiles to function because the prize money and tv deals are poor compared to the bigger leagues.
I read that Man Utd only brought in £700K from season tickets last season and if that figure above is correct, then the Celtic fans gave our club a much needed extra £20 million last season to watch the games on Pass To Paradise.

The good thing about our financial situation. We've still the money for Eddie, Christie and Ajer. If i have read it correctly. Fans back and Some form of European football after Santa Claus.

Yes buzz the majority of that money will be season ticket. There’s probably a small percentage of other income but predominantly season ticket money. You will notice the big dip from £35m in the previous season as there was no general ticket sale, cup tickets, euro tickets, food sales etc etc.

Auf for 2022. We are going to have our revenue naturally increased by £15-20m just by having fans back and European football with fans. Then the best past of £30-35m profit on player sales compared to the 9m in 21. So we put an extra say £40m on our revenue. Our costs will increase but not massively. I think and it’s just guess work we will be looking at total revenue of £100-105m with a cost of £85m for 21/ 22. Leaving a tidy profit of £15-20m wiping out the previous loss.

I noticed Sevco’s biggest turnover was £59 million before C. V.
Celtic had a slightly bigger turnover of £60 million, with C. V involved last season.
If Celtic can win the league this season, we will dominate again for years.

Buzz personally I can’t see how sevco can survive if we win the league this year. They need to pay the piper at some point. If they don’t win the league they need to sell a lot of players.

I reckon that Scotland will lose that 11th place in the Co-efficient table next season and that makes this season more vital.
From August 2021 until August 2022,
Sevco will have/ had 3 chances to get into the CL group stages.
They blew their first chance against Malmo this season.
Their second chance will be to win the Scottish league this season, which will almost guarantee a CL group stage place.
If Celtic win the league this season, Sevco will have One last outside chance to qualify for the CL next season.
But they would only have a 3 in 11 chance to qualify through the very hard league route in the qualifiers.
If Sevco fail with all 3 attempts, they will have to downsize considerably.

BB I think the coefficient will be here for a good few seasons to come and Scotland will probably even move up to 9/ 10. Most of our closest rivals lose big points this season like Russia -12 Ukraine -8 while Scotland only lose -4. Also if we move to 9/ 10 we have 3 teams guaranteed group football.
We also have 1.6 points still to be added to our tally for us and the Sevvies reaching EL groups. UEFA seem to have given the CL their bonus points but not the EL. The bonus point for reaching EL is new this season since the ECL was introduced.

I was thinking it was a one off and that’s why this season was vital.
That’s a game changer then because Sevco will continue to leave all their eggs in the one basket if the chance remains to get that CL group stage place.
I thought if they had to qualify every season, they would be forced to downsize.
