Unfortunately that's the way it is and always will be, big club ina small country, you just need to look at the players ajax have sold.

United Ireland, I might be entirely wrong but I feel big wanyama is trying his best to get a move back to Europe, I might be wrong but just a wee feeling.

mally there's a difference if its a mega money offer and the player wants to go let's be honest 12 mill is nothing and he wanted to stay to make him leave to take the 12 is bad. cmc i wouldn't mind wanyama back just now he is what we need in midfield a bit of muscle.

UI. why a disgrace? Great business. Scored against Barca, helped win titles, then we kept winning after he left. Then Brown became our driving force.

making a top player leave to line there pockets when he is wanting to stay.

The club have taken this route for a long time whether the player was happy or not and are now dependent on at least one ' big sale' per season to guarantee the income, lost because we have practically zero European pedigree due to downsizing and offloading our best players.
You could probably name almost an entire team of could have beens'?

{Ed007's Note - Some selective memory recollections from Wanyama here and some posters are using it to have a moan, Wanyama and his agent made unrealistic financial demands on Celtic and his agent was hawking him round England after his first season with us.
With 2 years to go on his contract Wanyama wasn't forced into any move unless it was by his agent/family - and it's taken him what 9 years to come out with this? ?

ed007 im not one for having a moan on here buddy or calling the board out just after i read that today if true p. ed me of a little bit.

{Ed007's Note - I wasn't getting at anyone in particular mate - I've not been online much today so just catching up with everything and I seen a bit on social media. Wanyama had 2 years left on his 4-year deal when he left, he (or his agent) wanted a to be one of the top earners at the Club and they asked to wait a while and then they'd negotiate, when the first round of talks with Southampton broke down it was his agent that instigated further talks after there were no other takers in England.}

12 mill for Vic 12 mill for a superstar in vvd, that's where we are, so now we've to believe he'd have stayed now that he's plying his trade at Montreal, he may have feelings for our club but Al bet he's more feelings for his pocket.

{Ed007's Note - We also got money when Wanyama went to Spurs as well, Mally - I think it was just under £14 million in total and with VVD it came out about £18 million(ish) after our sell-on and we paid FC Groningen their cut.}
