Watching our approach on Saturday just re affirmed all of last season's failings. We hit the opposition box, then play around it from side to side looking for an opening that isn't going to happen as they won't come out.
We need the ball in the box as often as possible as even the law of averages will get us more opportunities than p. ing round the edges for 90 minutes. May sound simplistic but other teams seem to manage.
Also can't help thinking our team is much too light weight and easily bullied. We are just much to nice, we need a bruiser to send a message coz refs aren't ever going to protect our players.

We’re trying to play a style that’s based on getting in behind the opposition, if they don’t come out, we can’t. At times, we don’t appear to have any other options.

The longer I was watching our game on Saturday, the more I was thinking about our opening goals against Ross County and St. Johnstone.
It was a similar pattern and Celtic were struggling to create clear cut chances.
Then it was shots from outside the box that resulted in goals.
The Ross County goal was a deflection and then a mistake from the St. Johnstone defender came after a shot from outside the box.
Celtic didn’t do enough until the 6 minutes injury time because we didn’t test their keeper enough.

We put dozens of crosses into the box game after game and 99% of the time there's no end product.

We need to be taking shots from outside the box more regularly. This trying to walk it Into the net clearly isn't working against some opposition.
