Seems like the "Modernisation" aspect of the club has slowed down. I'm still wondering if we are still hedging our bets on the summers promises. I hope our New CEO who I don't "think" has spoken publicly yet is on the ball and what his plans are. But still no clue in what "Modernisation" actually is.

I still find the DoM McKay thing a bit odd and there's never really been clarity of what forced him to step down over the 72 days of his tenure. Can anyone elaborate?

The main question here is, have the board changed there ways or will it just be same old same old for Celtic? We still haven't brought in a DOF or Head of Footballing operations. When you see all the top clubs in Europe follow this what seems now like a standard approach it really surprised me we haven't followed suit.

I don’t think Celtic are going to employ a DOF.
I had my doubts when a new manager was brought in first.

Personally, if we stick with Nicholson as ceo there will be no change or modernisation. He has been part of the board for a few years now, they don’t think they need modernising. They think they are doing a great job so why will the status quo change . For the last few years as we all know the divide between the board and the fans has grown . Last years demonstrations proved that as will the employment of Higgins . They will do what they want as they have for some time. Only a couple of weeks ago the chairman wrote that last season was ok, hobs for the boys unfortunately . Ill go back to an original post where I mentioned that if Nicholson was the beet man for the job why was he never put in the position in the first place. All internal decisions made .

It's a 'closed-shop' up in their Ivory Tower where. as long as the bank balance is in the black, bonuses and dividends are assured and the PLC is astute and viable, the footballing side of Celtic has fallen way down the priorities with the support further behind.
I remember the fall of the incompetent Kelly Dynasty, who had Celtic in the blood; but this dictatorship could be much more destructive?

I thought this Nicholson boy was only an Acting CEO, why would he then come out and speak publicly?

I’m sure Nicholson has interacted with Celtic supporter groups recently and that’s a start.
If his temporary position involves communicating with the Celtic fans publicly, then that’s what Nicholson will need to do.
I don’t see how being the acting CEO would stop Nicholson from carrying out his job description and duties.
John Kennedy addressed the Celtic fans last season publicly and he was the temporary manager.

I remember reading about the Russian Revolution at school and feel our board is to Celtic, as the Romanovs were to Russia.

I'm not suggesting they are dealt with in the same way but they need to go and fast.

We're a club crying out for someone to come in, buy out DD and sack every board member.

This lot are not progressive, they're dinosaurs and the sooner they're extinct, the better!

I like the way some of the German clubs are run like Dortmund where the fans really do mean something to the club.
