I'll let others argue the toss about whether Giakoumakis should have been given the No. 7 shirt or whether the number's already been diminished by some of its previous wearers. Personally I'm just delighted we're going to be hearing the Magnificent Seven tune after some goals again!

This is Not a negative post, just an observation.
The Bhoy, he’s a Bhoy now no matter what, is 26 yrs old, he had a brilliant season past, he was on 800 a week with Wvenlo, this is his first decent footballing wage.
I really hope he drives on, lives up to the No7,this is top billing at Celtic and scores 26 for us this season.

Mally not wanting to kick the bhoy down before he gets on the park but last season could have been a flash in the pan as his average before that was 5 a season. but yes hopefully he'll batter in 20 plus goals. Malika I'm sure I seen somewhere he was on €2500 a week at vvv.

Bhoys, why is there even a debate on whether our newest Striker will be a success or not or the relevance of the number he's selected? 🤔
He hasn't even kicked a ball and as far as I can tell cost less than Klimala and a few others yet arrives in the East End having finished top scorer in a league that is equal to, if not, likely better than ours.
Being realistic I don't expect the lad to be anywhere near some of our legendary players who wore the No.7 but if he comes in, works hard and bangs in a few goals, I'll be happy.

Before he signed for Venlo, he had a few injuries and his appearances seem to have a high number from bench within final 3rd of game time.
Venlo looks like first club he has been at, where he has had a good run of games from starting line up.
I think he will do well for us.
I've never really been bothered who wears any number at club. As long as they play well on the park is what matters to me.
When number 7 is mentioned, it will always be associated with Henrik. Players who have wore it since I genuinely forgot about.

I think Ange is taking a gamble by leaving us with only having 3 strikers until January, with Celtic competing in 3 different competitions.
If our new Greek signing is decent, then all is good but we’ve all seen the opposite happen with our forward players in recent seasons.
It looks like Ange trusts Ajeti to do a job for Celtic, otherwise he would’ve added to our forward line.
I believe Ange has got another forward player from the J-League in mind for the January transfer window.

Buzz, I hear what you're saying and you're right - we've essentially got two Strikers that Ange trusts although, personally, I'd use Ajeti when we're either playing against weaker opposition or when we're ahead in certain games, as it would give him minutes and give others a rest.
As for Giorgious, at 6ft 1, I think he gives us a Plan B and if he can get off the mark fairly quickly he'll do alright 😉.

Ok let's just take the numbers away. IMO Keep to just sponsors and players names on it.
I was never one for numbers on shirts I don't actually care. As long as they play for us and play well what if our right back scored 25 goals this season is that going to be a hard act to follow that number. Let's see what this team can do. Ange has to deliver a little this season as he has been backed more than any manager that I can remember.
Im excited to see how this team will gel.
We all know we need a holding fighter in the midfield the guy Vickers will be on that roll. Calmac has this soro has it. But just in front of them rogic Turnbull don't have that gritty fight in them.
So who will be on the bench if Vickers play does McCarthy have it I for one can't wait for next week to come to see what Ange does and how he brings this new team together.
As of now I think only calmac and rogic are left on the starting 11 from the old guard but rogic had a blinder of a game for his country.

Looking at VVV stats from last season, not only did they only score 43 goals in the league but they never created much shots at goal in games they played.
I personally think playing Giakoumakis in system we have with players we have, I reckon he will do well for us.
