With the money from eddy and Christie and ajer not forgetting who left in Jan, we should be breaking even no danger, and could push the boat out for mcann and a cb before deadline.

I know we have brought in a fair few so far, but there are still positions that need urgent attention. I was always a believer in quality over quantity and although players including Ntcham, Ajer, Christie and Eddy were far from their best this past year, they are still top class players, that need replacing with similar or better?

Didn't matter who the manager was. OTP, Howe whoever. Our squad wasn't getting fixed in one transfer window.

OTP, give it rest auf rotten patter.

I’m not bothered if both Eddy and Christie leave today.
It will be good to see new players and a start to a new era.

It’s not just about ‘breaking even’ on transfer spends though, that type of maths would bankrupt a club.

Selling 3 players (Ajer, Eddy and Christie) then spending the incomings on players might seem to be breaking even but it isn’t as simple. 3 players going out but about 8 coming in means a huge hike in players wages. So transfer fees ‘out v in’ is one thing…but adding a significant amount to the budget in wages can’t be ignored.

That’s why it isn’t so simple.

Its my nickname for him. Oz's love the banter.

If he stops this i will chuck his nickname.

I’d rather he didn’t stand like a rabbit in the headlights when everyone could see his tactics weren’t working. Any half decent manager with a half decent team will easily dismantle his system.

Brown's wage alone would cover 3/ 4 of these signings.

Ego a get that but since Jan we've brought in nearly 50 mill apparently which also means wages, ie frimpong 11m plus we get rid of a wage broony reputed 25k a week Al bet that the new Greek boy will be on less than eddy, it should even itself out, and knowing our club we'll definitely not be running at a loss.

Spot on Mally, i'm certain our wage bill will be less than it was last season. Kenny, Laxalt, Frimpong, Duffy, Elyounoussi, Brown, Ajer, Ntcham, Eddy. A nice bit of wages freed up i'd say.
