Ed, I appreciate you'll be glad when this window closes in order you can put your feet up till January 😄😆😉 but, may I humbly ask;
(1) as it's gone quiet on the LB position is it fair to say that Ange may see Liam Scales play in that area for the team going forward?

(2) on the Striker front, do you think Eddy will go in this window ( 🤞) and who do you believe we'll bring in?
{Ed007's Note - That's the main question about Scales, Pedro and even Paul isn't sure if he's good enough to be first choice for us yet. It's obvious that Taylor is really struggling to fit into the #AngeBall system and then we have young Montgomery in the equation as well - I just don't see us going with those 3 as our choices at LB and I think there will be moves to bring someone else in, maybe even Taylor could be moved out on loan.
As for Edouard I would be really surprised if he's here by the time the window closes and Giakoumakis will be his replacement in the squad.}

Personally, I'd be delighted with that scenario and like the Bhoys on here I can't believe the turnaround Ange has engineered in such a short space of time.

I’ve never seen Scales but was talking to a boy from Limerick yesterday that wasn’t overly impressed at the signing.

Ed I really can't see us signing a LB beyond Scales if that's his position. Montgomery adds cover LB and LW. but looks destined for a cameo role this year. he's another that should be looked at for a loan this year. But could come in handy when injuries occur. Do you think we can get rid of Ajeti and or LG this window?
{Ed007's Note - If we only sign Scales it keeps a massive imbalance in the team imo, that left hand side as it stands is a cause for concern and for me Scales isn't going to add THAT much on that side.
It's a kind of Hickey signing for me, Hickey would - and should - never have been a first choice if he had came in but that's the "project", the back up to your first choice.}

I occasionally watch League of Ireland football. It isn't quite SPL standard but it's not a million miles away if you want to base it on the better teams in the league and Shamrock Rovers are right up there with the best in it.
Scales mostly excels week in and week out and he's clearly capable of playing at a higher level than where he is. Is he a first team pick from day one for Celtic if he comes in? Maybe and maybe not, there's only one way to find out but he's very decent and if he isn't ready next week then he could well be ready within a few weeks. He's a very determined lad. HH.

I haven't seen Scales so can't comment on what he can or can't offer. I think we are all in agreement with you about the LB position causing imbalance in the team. Taylor is a decent player but not a. Starting calibre LB for celtic. His lack of pace hinders him to beat his man. I just don't see us signing the LB we need until another transfer window. Maybe Scales will be a player and solve the problem. But as I said I. would need to see the boy before I can assess his abilities.

From what I have seen of Scales, he looks a player and is certainly a step up from Taylor. I don't make assessments on what league a guy plays in, that's stupid, I make an assessment on how the guy plays. Scales is powerful, has good control, is aggressive, can pass a ball and has a goal in him. Get him in, because as good as we are looking mid to front, we need to sort the backline with a LB and CB. Although, is he even being signed? I hope he is but would like confirmation soon.

I'm really surprised we haven't veen in for another left back other than Scales. It really shouldn't be that hard to find somebody quicker and technically better than taylor for a few million. It's the one thing just niggling at me about this transfer window.

Ed regarding Eddy I think he is going to sign a pre contract with another club in January. The reason I think that is he isn't trying at all and look to me like he doesn't want to be injured that's just my opinion though.

When people talk about it only being this league or that league where did we get Paddy McCourt from again he was a good football player.
Also people moan about us signing players from so called inferior leagues, that's how the EPL view us but we always want top dollar for our players

Seamus Coleman, is a classic example, what we could have done with him. Went for 60 grand from Sligo to Everton and was scouted and recommended to us for a few months before.
