Serious question here do we think we are that far behind sevco? A don't think they are as great as folk make out and if we get our act together we could challenge this year? BBC saying they will win multiple titles in a row.

On paper I don't think it takes much to be better than them. What they have that we don't is a settled team in a settled system that has been developed over a few seasons. It takes time.

If the past season has shown us anything it is that when the gap may look huge it isn't quite so.
Last season we failed to put pressure on them when we had chances to do so. We just need to do our parts and see if they can handle the pressure.
before we can be serious about winning the title this year the club need to get bodies in though. as much as some of our younger players have looked, teams of kids don't win u titles.

Having given them the initiative and incentive - albeit with zillions of pounds they never had - we have allowed them to become settled, confident and used to winning (especially against us) .
They still have flaws as we saw in both cups and are still more experienced and established as THE top side, but need to show it.
Unfortunately, we allowed this reversal to happen and even assisted it, with a mixture of complacency, incompetence and in-house self destruction.
Thankfully, we now seem to have a manager with a very positive and self assured attitude that will help rebuild and reassert ourselves. Other SPL teams also seem to have strengthened, so the least we can hope for is a vast improvement on last season.

if we can beat them next month, i think we'll bridge the gap this season, if we don't and they start putting together another run we could be in trouble.

Once the fans are back in their world class superstars like Tav will go into hiding. I have no doubts we will win the league this season. Yes we have took our time in getting players in but it seems to be right players instead of the dross the previous manager brought inðŸ‘.

I couldn't care less what pundits and amateur journalists say about the gap, but I do see right now is they are much stronger than us at this minute, now that's not to say when we get our transfer targets in and gel as Ange would like then it could and probably will be a different story, but as of right now and believe me it pains me to say it they are stronger.

i think we've let them get well ahead of us and although we seem to be getting some players, in we still have to see if they gel and settle in scotland, mean while they are settled and the euro run was impressive compared to the one we didn't have.

I've just read an article by the Soup Taking Barsteward, Tom English on the BBC website.
He says (amongst other things) when referring to TRIFC, "with their stability and remarkable squad depth - in Scottish football terms - they're holding every ace. They actually have two strong teams - one that would be hot favourites to win the league and a second that could well finish runner-up if they were given a shot at it. "
I really hope we can shut this clown up as well as those across the City.

They aren't a good team . we gave them the league last year . what their team showed was the difference a goalkeeper and a shared belief makes.

DRB they are clearly a good team. None of us want to Say it but sh#t happens. They were unbeaten in the league and earned the title. Gérrard has them playing as a team and their system works for them. I'm excited by the prospect of what Ange is building and how we are going to play when the new squad is built. With all the new bodies and a new coach at the club it is going to take a month or two until the team gels and big ange coaches the team into a cohesive unit. Playing his style of football. I hope we can grind the results out while this is happening and stay within a reasonable points difference. Ange is building this team to be successful for years to come, not just this year. I'm really looking forward to the big man's reign and feel given some time something special is on the horizon.

At the start of last season before all the turmoil, nearly everyone was saying sevco were lightyears behind us, after everything that happened we are behind them but if we get the players in who we want I think we will catch them sooner rather than later.

I wouldn’t be so sure Malky, my fear is that’s them got the monkey off there back and there won’t be as much pressure on them from the orks. Seems like a ball in the league hasn’t been kicked yet we’re under pressure already 😂. It’s a long season hopefully we get the right people in.
