Around about this time every season we bring in players (eventually) and sell others with the outcome roughly break even.
It looks like Starfelt £5m, Abadada £3.5m, and the two French boys approx £3m total for both.
It looks like Ajer will probably be sold for £12m+ so once again the money in and out evens up.

Unfortunately the break even players haven't been good enough fir too many seasos.

Tim if ajer goes for 15 mill that's over 30 mill since Jan we've brought in, and we ain't spending that.

Do yous want us to spend wrecklessly and end up back in 1994 or end up like Oldco Rangers? Of course the books have to be balanced, a 3 year old child could tell you that!

Tim, it appears the 4 players that we are apparently signing add up to around 13M, there or there abouts.

Agreed, the sale of Ajer alone should cover the outlay in transfer fees but don't forget we've also already banked money from the sale of Frimpong, Elhamed, Klimala, Hendry, Bayo, Morgan (I've probably missed one or two) which brought in something like 18M quid.

Break even? Forget we got 12m for Frimpong. Where’s that money going, what about season ticket sales surely a portion of that should be spent on transfers or what about kit sales? Shouldn’t just break even every single season, it’s football we should be improving the team.

If we are lucky enough to get any sort of decent fee for a CB who rubbishs himself and turns his back on the ball then we'll be laughing plus he's dug meat anyway! Can't see the issue myself if he's punted to break even.

Celtic can’t expect more than the £15 million including add ons offered by Brentford, after we made the decision not to sell Ajer last summer.
It’s still a good return for a player Celtic paid only £500k for.

Was there not a large percentage lost to Man City with the profit made from Frimpong?

Atlanta Bhoy
I think Celtic got £8 million from the sale of Frimpong and Man City got £3.5 million.

Celtic would have lost money through C.V. Fag paper accounts live in fantasy land.
