I think this close season is going to be a big one. Changes all over the place, signings, staff etc.
We don't have much time to get sorted for the season ahead, we won't be ready in my opinion at this rate. New manager, new look squad. We have until the 21st of July to get sorted, that's when qualifying starts.
Currently we have 2 Full Backs, Ralston and Taylor. I think Taylor is a decent player, Ralston is pish.
Three Centre Backs, Jullien, Ajer and Welsh.
Jullien returning from injury and unlikely to be match fit, Welsh young but has potential. Ajer likely moving out. That leaves us with the Prospect of Leo Hjelde.
Midfield. McGregor, Christie, Bitton, Soro, Turnbull, Johnston, Forrest, Rogic.
Bitton and Christie likely to leave. McGregor a potential. That leaves us with 5 midfielders. One who can't stay fit and another not good enough. (Johnston and Rogic) .
Strikers. Eddy, Ajeti, Griff.
Eddy, will leave. Ajeti attitude issues but clearly a good player. Griff, can't stay fit and doesn't fill me with confidence.
Looking at this break down of the players that have been in and out of the squad doesn't fill me with much confidence. We've really dropped ourselves into this terrible position and I hope there is work going on in the back ground to rectify it.

No evidence to suggest ajeti is a good player, he's done nothing.

The only way Johnson will prove anyone wrong it to put on some size. The is simply far too light to play top flight. Spend more time on the ground and can compete in a 50/ 50 tackle. Personally think the guy is over rated.

Ken, I agree the size of the rebuild is huge. Personally, I don't expect anytging in a European sense with so many changes due to take place.
Worse news, of the players you mention I doubt Bitton or Rogic will be here, at least they shouldn't be, so that leaves about a handful of players and young Welsh isn't ready to hold down a place.
Markie, we all look forward to Johnson getting fit, but as far as wee Mikey, built like the side of a fiver goes, not Celtic class IMO but he may get another chance when the new Head Coach comes in, if he can stay fit.

Mally just because Ajeti has been rubbish for us doesn’t mean he can’t be a good football player. I doubt West Ham a premier league club picked him up on a whim. Clearly there’s something there and he has an attitude problem. Wether he sorts that out and kicks on or stagnates that’s his decision.
