I know I have mentioned this before but we would be mad not to try and get Ryan Gauld on a free tranfer

He has also set up his teammates for 80 shots on goal.
Boy is standing out a mile in a poor team in a league that is superior to ours.

Kev83 a Christie replacement for me is a must, but aslong as he can see a pass, find that pass and not just look to better his own stats, Turnbull for me should be a starter, the boy adds a bit of something different to the team, yeah he has a fair bit to learn about playing the game without the ball etc but that will come with proper coaching. Gauld was a player i liked when he played for Utd, i actually hoped at the time we would of went in for him before he moved to Lisbon.

Have to disagree, Turnbull is far better. Gauld would be a back up at most. Would rather see Ewan Henderson given game time next season as I reckon he would be a better back up option than Gauld.

I'd take him over Rogic and sounds like his performances have been way more consistent than Christies this season. We could do a lot worse and on a free it could be a shrewd piece of business as the new managers budget will be stretched enough as it is replacing all the outgoings.

The Portuguese league is far better than ours and he's ripping it up. One of the best players for the team he captains and is one of the leading players in the league.

Stats look good but when he tried his luck with Hibs he was poor. He might have kicked on since, hard to say as Shved had great stats and right ups when he came.

I'm not interested in Portuguese football, but from what I can remember there is a lot of teams in that league that are bang average. Porto, Sporting, Benfica and Braga are only quality teams in that league out of 18.
I had a look at Gaulds stats on transfermarkt and apart from 1 goal against Braga and an assist against Benfica, he has done nothing else. He is 25, doubtful he will suddenly improve and would be a waste of a spot on the bench at Celtic.

Thats just nonsense.
The stats up there show exactly what he's done. More indepth than just a quick look at transfermarkt.
Goals and assist against 6 out of the top 10 teams in the league.
Half of his direct contributions come against said top ten teams.

Who in your opinion are the top 10? Obviously Porto, Sporting, Braga and Benfica are 4 of them but I'm puzzled as to who the other 6 are. The rest of the league is full of bang average teams.
