So does everyone think the new manager will be Eddie Howe or will it be someone else that hasn't been mentioned yet?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who honestly knows mate, one thing is for sure though, they better get a finger out soon in announcing who it is because while I do think season tickets will sell, I don’t see them flying out the door just as quick as they might if fans new exactly who’d be in charge and what the plans are for the upcoming season.

I'm not buying the excuse its all to do with waiting to see how Bournemouth do in the playoffs to see if their coaches will leave or not. that's not a valid reason as to why Howe and Harkin cannot be announced as coaches wouldn't be needed until the summer.

I've got a feeling Keane is DD choice and he will force it through probably on the same day Peter Lawell leaves the building.

Another lingering thought of mine is Moyes. If West Ham don't make Champions League then I wouldn't be surprised if we threw a lot of money at Moyes to get him up here either. Moyes is a more sensible long term solution given his age and fact he's done in the the pub league for many years where as in a few years a young coach like Howe would be looking to move on and test himself in the Pub league again.

del i don't get your post. moyes is challenging for top for and a champions league spot but he is done down there he is having one of west hams best seasons ever yet he is done.

After the nightmare season we had, you would think The Board, in particular, would have been burning the midnight oil since the turn of the year to salvage something and make amends for such a disaster, but no, let's push-on with a caretaker that hasn't a clue and see how far we can really sink without a single trophy and possible record points deficit. Then after we have a wee holiday, see if we can be bothered? Any other 'big' club would have moved mountains to sort this mess and try and put an end to a year of misery, failure, damaged (or destroyed) reputations and constant bad publicity.

Sorry UI its a typo. I meant to say done it. As in been there, done it. After his spell at Man Utd I doubt any of the so called top 6 teams would consider him in the future.

West Ham are unlikely to sustain pushing in to the top six season after season. Its the kind of club that you wouldn't be surprised if they finished 17th next season.

I think if the finances are there for a proper rebuild the project of rebuilding our team and attempting to reassert ourselves in Europe is more appealing than the West Ham job. he's no spring chicken and the kind of guy I could see sticking it out for 4 or 5 years up here which is what we need whilst the foundations are laid i the background for the new setup.

France - World Champions; Leicester- Premier League; Chelsea - multiple trophies. Common factor? Kante, a holding midfielder! I rest my case!

{Ed001's Note - Kante is not a holding midfielder. Matic sat for Chelsea alongside him, now they are using Jorginho or Kovacic to do that. Drinkwater did it at Leicester and Matuidi for France. To get the best out of Kante you just let him loose in the centre of the pitch and let him do what he wants by putting a holding midfielder in place to ensure there are no gaps behind. But it does back up your case, as it requires a holding midfielder for him to be as effective as he is.}
