Like everyone else I have no clue as to what's going on, but if we consider ourselves to be a big player, we can't be anyone's back up plan. We need to be in control. When new CEO rocks up on the 19th, Howe gets 24 hours to make his mind up, if not signing contract, offer removed ( that's if we have actually made him an offer) . Not just Howe, but same attitude to anyone else. Why is everything we do so protracted?

Totally agree with you chasaboy, if he’s not sold on the project of regaining top spot up here off them, when have to move on or we will be looking for a new coach in a season when his head is turned.
The way the board and club have performed this season is it any surprise that we can’t agree on a coach and go and get him tied down. Last week when he was all but signed without signing anything, started setting off alarm bells.
If it’s true where he’s trying to dictate everything doesn’t seem the ideal option either, I can’t see how he could basically choose his own boss, if he wants to choose the dof. If the club are at odds if these stories of him are true, draw a line and move on.
Also, don’t send out Kennedy to tell us to be patient, the club are ensuring the right man is put in place . Do they not remember they interviewed zero candidates for the last managerial position, and as we all know offered the job in the showers . 🙈.

I agree %100 we should not be just dependent on one person I think Howe would be a great manager for us but we surely have a plan B, C inplace and he should be given a time limit IF the story's are correct.

I agree a club of our size shouldn't be reliant on one person. Ooh wait that's what we have with Mr Desmond.

Nobody is bigger than the club. Howe is either coming or he is not coming.

Our pursuit in getting a manager is turning into a right rubbish show. we will end up getting a bargain basement manager who keeps saying yes boss.

Said ages ago that this was a major concern for me personally as the Celtic job used to attract a lot of attention and usually fairly quick decisions when offered the job. Last season highlighted a lot of problems from top to bottom and I worry that some internal issues and potential hurdles are dissuading more applicants or enquiries? The post has been available for months, if you accept that NL's coat was on a shoogly peg for a while, so why are we dawdling and although there is a lot of negativity and fake news going around about Howe, this important business should have been an urgent priority, as there are several matters that will need immediate attention and scrambling about until June/ July does not augur well for immediate recovery.

Have to agree OAB and TT, I think this could all go pear-shaped.
I am not sure about Howe as manager anyway, we should be doing better, but if it is him, I'll back him.
I certainly wouldn't be employing a d. o. f. at his request, he should only be responsible for people under him on the coaching team, not a position above him (that's assuming reports are true) .
Move to another candidate asap.
